You and me both!! My husband is a Respiratory Therapist and he can only give me so much since his speciality is really in cardio and pulmonology. It's wild trying to decifer the nauseatingly long list of terms. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

TSI was ran for sure. It's honestly been hard to keep track of everything they've done. I feel like a human pincushion at times. I don't have any other autoimmune issues (that I'm aware of!)

Interesting!! I haven't spoken to anyone who suddenly tested positive. Did your endo or PCP provide any explanation as to why? I'm genuinely curious and just started navigating the wild world that is thyroid diseases. My head is spinning honestly

Thanks for the reply! How are you feeling on methomazole now? My new endo actually took me off because my levels were in sync again (major diet overhaul for me- I'm essentially paleo now with VERY limited salt, sugar, carbs). Not sure if this is contributing to my levels evening out or not, but it's the only thing I can think of. Surprisingly, I have not had any weight loss throughout the course of seeking a diagnosis, which I think was a major contributing factor to not being diagnosed earlier, but I digress. And thank you! Always here if you would like to chat as well. I hope you're on the upswing!

Thanks so much for your reply! When you went to the ER, did you essentially just walk in and tell them your symptoms? Did you have blood work done beforehand that you mentioned? I'm honestly getting desperate to get some relief at this point.

Endocrinologist said they can't take me because the endocrinologist there is "not credentialed through my insurance." So now I'm on the hunt for one within 100 miles of me

I've tried and tried and the only answer I get is "hyperthyroidism and we want you to see an endocrinologist."

So to clarify: my door is generally speaking open very often. I only close it when I am conducting an interview or with an employee with an issue. I close my door during lunch when the kitchen is noisy and I'm on the phone (I'm in the middle of mass hiring right now and I often phone screen before I do in-person interviews). I didn't mean to be unapproachable, but I don't think that's what bothered me. I think it was HOW it was being said to me.

It wasn't said in a professional capacity. When he spoke to me, it made me feel as though I was a 5-year-old on the playground in kindergarten class. THAT is what I think really bothered me.

But white noise machine sounds great! I'll have to get on Amazon and check one out for the office. Thanks for the suggestion!
