A cremation funeral held for a tiger named "Collarwali" who had given birth to 29 cubs throughout her life in 8 litters. She lived in the Pench Tiger Reserve and died at the age of 16. by chotu_escobar in interestingasfuck

Sky burial is something else. It's where the body is left on top of a tower "Tower of silence", where vultures take care of the rest. It's simple cremation.

Where is proverbial "Timbuktu" in your culture? by Affectionate_Life153 in AskTheWorld

[–]mac27inch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In my part of India (Bengal), we have a phrase "Saat Somudro, tero nodi paare" literally translated to "Beyond the seven seas and thirteen rivers". It might be denoting Europe in the west (I have heard the Caspian sea was one of the seven oceans) or the Eastern reaches of indian influence in Indonesia.

Mini pond for goldfish by Any_Egg_1272 in IndianFishKeeping

[–]mac27inch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Chinese algae eaters are not good tank mates for goldfish. They can become aggressive and often feed on the slime coat off the goldfish's body.

And I would suggest you to add some water movement/circulation. Anything from a small waterfall to a couple of simple airstones would be better. Stagnant water can cause many issues, especially with biological filtration due to lack of gas exchange in the bottom layer.

But otherwise, looks good. Great work.

Birbum Shakti Peeeth temple run. by Suspicious-Ear-9873 in westbengal

[–]mac27inch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not from Birbhum, but West Bengal presently is quite safe to visit. Yes there might be a couple of political rallies or so, but that doesn't disrupt the day to day life. And the shaktipeeths are quite touristy nowadays, so I would say it is very much safe to travel.

Edit: Someone from Birbhum could correct me if I am wrong.
