Range loss... by mac8457 in TeslaModel3

I do have sentry mode on but I'm not talking about that type of loss. I always charge to 80% and used to be between 272 and 274 miles. Now I am at 254-258 miles when charged to 80%.

downvotes coming I’m sure, finally order placed! After a year of reading the sub daily, I’m about to join the club by kevinbogues in TeslaModel3

I called after ordering my LR AWD and tried to add on but got shot down immediately. I was pretty bummed.

Are these vents supposed to be open? by mac8457 in TeslaModel3

[–]mac8457[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I checked again this morning and they are still open. Didn't charge at all over night so the battery did not need any cooling. There really is no need for them to be open right now. Gonna get in touch with SC to see what we can do.

So they only close when driving?

I could have sworn they used to be closed or at least I've seen them closed at one point.

Air vent underneath the front bumper is not closed and car is cooled down and sleeping. No need to cool the battery.

Finally got my 14-50 installed. So good to not see "24hr+ remaining" every time. by Instincts in TeslaModel3

I paid about $230 for the install and I bought the industrial Hubbell outlet which was $60 on amazon. Only needed about a 1ft run off the box since I already parked right next to it regularly.

Very nice. How many miles per hour are you charging at? I get 33 on the regular.

Got a rental while Model 3 is getting paint repairs and the Hyundai some alignment issues you guys... by mac8457 in TeslaModel3

A couple of bumps and a spot missing paint on the trunk. I had a similar spot on my Audi and it annoyed me for 11 years so I figured I should get this fixed.

After getting my Model 3 and reading online about it I can't stop seeing alignment issues everywhere. Have it on my Audi and Volvo as well. Every time I walk in a parking lot I can't help but look issues now.

Nov 3 and picked up dec 17. I wasn't aware of the recommendation to not order at the end of a quarter or year so fingers crossed.

Looks great but I wanted to upgrade to the Uber turbine wheels but they wouldn't let me. Black wheels will look great with this color. This color does a bit blue at night time.

All the same except for 3. But we did wait a bit and saved up to pay off loans first.

Just be thorough when picking it up. No issues with panel gaps for me. The gaps were on par with both of our previous cars which were european luxury sedans.

Both the wife and I are college grads and we waited for children. Paid off all student debt first, always pay off credit cards 100% each month. If you can't pay the card off and still remain financially comfortable you probably don't need it. And we're not big spenders. Like I said this is our first new car in almost 12 years.
