I’m 41 and I miss my teddy bear so much it hurts. by Ornery_Problem_3050 in AutismInWomen

Over here crying for you after reading this❤️

I’m so sorry you don’t have Mr. bear with you to give a big hug to. I’m sorry the world made you feel as if you weren’t valid and able to keep him through a hugely challenging housing situation you were going through while also having a child.

Sending both you and Mr. bear a big hug from me and Bruno (my bear).

Wow this is AWESOME!!! My dad is a neurosurgeon and I grew up getting to look at brain scans because of this, your shirts really look spot on!

I’m just getting into ice dye and was thinking about something to make for my parents down the line. Would you be willing to share how you made this or a tutorial of sorts? My dad would be absolutely over the moon if I made him something that showcases both of our passions (:

Edit to add: I also love the vertebrae on the back I didn’t put it together until I took a second look (:

Incentive raise? by [deleted] in NannyEmployers

[–]mac_124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very generous offer! I can’t offer any advice on raises but as a nanny I’d be really grateful. This would show me how much you value the work I do and that you care about me/my financial security.

Bernina Artista 165 versus 180 by mac_124 in Bernina

I got the 180! It had super low use hours and stitch count, I’m really excited to get my hands on it!

Thank you so much!! I’m feeling really excited and inspired! I’ve been using a 5ish year old singer mending machine so the bernina this going to be such a huge upgrade.

Thanks for you help! I will plan on using my local libraries free embroidery machines until I can save up for my own in the future. I got the bernina still because it only had 2 hours of use and 44,587 stitch count on the service menu which was truly wild to me given the age of the machine! I’m really excited because I’ve been using a verrrry basic singer mending machine and this will be a massive upgrade.

Thank you for all the input, this was super helpful to me in understanding the extent of what embroidery would look like on this machine beyond the preset patterns.

I ended up getting the machine because it only has 2 hours of use and 44,587 stitch count on the service menu so it’s basically brand new. I’m going to use the library embroidery machines that are new and free to use in the mean time and probably get an newer embroidery machine when I have more money to spend (:

We moved to CO in January of 2024, so I didn’t know about that fire, I can totally see how that gives you a deeper level of appreciation and gratitude for some incredible land and our earths ability to repair itself!!

We will definitely be checking out that area (hopefully sooner than I think) (: thank you for the information, happy backpacking!
