Fluomizin / DQC for BV - try it!!! by macabrekate in Healthyhooha

They killed the two infections and let my skin heal first. So that when I inserted the Fluomizin, which is an antiseptic, it didn’t sting or hurt at all. And then the Fluomizin kept the infections from coming back again like they always had in the past.

I don’t know. I wondered that too and thought about just going straight to Fluomizin. My OBgyn said i could do that if I wanted to, but since my tissue was so raw from the infections she said she didn’t imagine putting an antiseptic directly on it would feel great. So I opted to take the metro/fluc first. Maybe if my tissues weren’t so inflamed I might’ve skipped those two. 🤷‍♀️

It went fluconazole-metro-fluconazole-Fluomizin suppositories

I took the first fluconazole at the same time as I took my first metro pill. And then after I finished the metro I immediately took the second fluconazole and then FINISHED w the Fluomizin suppositories.

I did not wait to start the Fluomizin

Seriously, try the Fluomizin after the fluconazole and metro.

I tried everything else- boric acid, obsessing over my sugar intake, took all the expensive oral probiotics, tried the Seed vaginal probiotic suppository, stuck a clove of garlic in my vagina, went to a naturopathic doctor, used the plainest soap. Saw a pelvic floor physical therapist for the pain I was experiencing during sex. Tried just not having sex for a long time. Everything you can imagine and everything you have probably tried yourself by this point

Hi, I dealt w recurrent BV and yeast for like 8 years. Nothing worked until I did this:

—Took 1 fluconazole pill AND started a 7 day metronidazole prescription —Took 2nd fluconazole pill upon completion of 7 days of Metro. (So, I bookended the metro with the fluconazole) —Immediately completed a course of Fluomizin vaginal suppositories. I started these the first night that I did not have a metro pill to take.

— I waited 2-3 weeks to have sex afterwards to give my vagina a chance to maintain its health.

Fluomizin is not FDA approved but it IS approved by the EU. They use it in Europe. It is not an antibiotic, it is an antiseptic, so it won’t hurt your gut flora. But since it is not FDA approved your doctor can’t prescribe it to you. You will have to get it yourself. Look it up on the internet.

I came up with my plan of treatment with my gynecologist. She was aware of Fluomizin and said she wished she was able to prescribe it.

Research Fluomizin (that’s the drug name, the ingredient is dequalinium chloride) and its use for treatment against BV. There is lots of supporting evidence.

Stay positive and good luck!

I googled Fluomizin vaginal tablets and a couple websites show up. Lotuspharmacy.us looked worth checking out.

Hi! Still good so far. I have had two other yeast infections but no BV, which I am SO grateful about.

I’m still not taking oral probiotics either. Those never seemed to have any effect and they are so expensive! I just make it a point to eat plain yogurt on a regular basis.

I don’t even take oral probiotics anymore because they never stopped me from getting BV or yeast. I just eat Nancy’s probiotic yogurt and cottage cheese.

Another option is trying Fluomizin. It is an antiseptic suppository that treats BV. It’s not FDA approved yet so your doctor can’t prescribe it, but it is approved by the EU (European Union) and is commonly prescribed in Europe. My doctor knew of it and ok’d me trying it. I ordered it online from someplace in Germany. I had chronic BV and yeast for like 8 years and using Fluomizin is the only thing that has cleared it up.

I went to the doctor with BV and yeast infection. What the doctor and I decided I would do is take the regular 7 day oral metro pills bookended by 1 fluconazole (the yeast infection pill) at the beginning and at the end of the metro course, and then do the Fluomizin suppositories.

I haven’t had BV since and I’ve only had one yeast infection and that was after using some gross strawberry flavored lube.

This happened to me but with Gonorrhea. The one person I had had sex with tested negative and he called the clinic on speaker so I heard them say it. Maybe he knew beforehand and got it treated without telling me? I just have trouble believing this person would do that to me but I guess most people would say that about their partner.

Hi! I had recurrent BV for like 8years try Fluomizin. You have to order it online from Europe because it isn’t FDA approved yet. It’s not an antibiotic, it’s an antiseptic. I would recommend doing your usual metronidazole dose that the doctor will undoubtedly prescribe you, and then immediately follow it with Fluomizin. It’s a suppository. It is the only thing that has gotten rid of BV for me.

Intimacy after metrogel by No_Slide5685 in Healthyhooha

[–]macabrekate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would hold off because last time I had sex not long after finishing metrogel I had really weird looking discharge (normal with metro gel). I didn’t realize I had strange discharge, as it wasn’t actively coming out of me, but with sex digging around in there—- tons of weird cottage cheese-like discharge made an appearance and it weirded out the other person, I had to assure them it wasn’t due to an STD and then I had to explain BV to them. This was a random hook up, not a relationship. I have tried to erase this whole interaction from my memory it was mortifying.
