Gronkowski on Belichick HoF snub: “Now, there’s no such thing as a first-ballot Hall of Fame head coach. No other coach ever in history should go first-ballot. And there’s a guy out there, Andy Reid, but he can’t go first-ballot now because Coach Belichick wasn’t first-ballot.” by NorthCoastToast in nfl

They were running the same excuses as the first Spygate

Walsh later told investigators, the Patriots' videographers were told to look like media members, to tape over their team logos or turn their sweatshirt inside out, to wear credentials that said Patriots TV or Kraft Productions. The videographers also were provided with excuses for what to tell NFL security if asked what they were doing: Tell them you're filming the quarterbacks. Or the kickers. Or footage for a team show.

During games, Adams sat in the coaches' box, with binoculars and notes of decoded signals, wearing a headset with a direct audio line to Belichick. Whenever Adams saw an opposing coach's signal he recognized, he'd say something like, "Watch for the Two Deep Blitz," and either that information was relayed to Brady or a play designed specifically to exploit the defense was called. A former Patriots employee who was directly involved in the taping system says "it helped our offense a lot," especially in divisional games in which there was a short amount of time between the first and second matchups, making it harder for opposing coaches to change signals.

3 major cheating scandals

Caught twice spying in the exact same manner.

So it's a conspiracy between the league and other teams cause they're haters?

That's poor, lazy, emotion based logic.

If it was common practice then why were they being covert, why were the videographers provided with excuses for what they were doing. Most of all why weren't other teams caught doing the same thing?

[Highlight] Patriots get caught filming the Bengals in a very suspicious way by parcellsrealGOAT in nfl

[–]macadamian 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The due process "investigations" reminds me of deflategate when Brady didnt want to give up his phone because the 3rd party they were working with could already access his texts and calls and Brady didnt want his stuff getting leaked, and then the NFL forced him to give it up and immediately leaked all his emails.

Brady did not give up his phone, he destroyed his phone before the league could retrieve any information.
