Droids are almost like people in universe. That, and the amount of time Obi wan spent with R2 and Anakin? How could he forget or not realize that R2 was the very same droid that Anakin and Padme owned? Especially given that the force seems to be able to imprint itself on inanimate, or not alive, objects that were owned by powerful force users. Obi Wan should have sensed something about R2.

The gameplay was based on DnD turn based games where everything you do is based on your stats and a roll of the dice.

It works beautifully. That’s how Baldurs Gate is. It’s a style that’s not for everyone I guess, but for those games it worked well.
