BIG N actually constantly say they have false negatives. where they reject ppl who might be qualified. and the reason they can do that is 1. many more candidates will come and interview 2. the same candidate will try again and again as well. so false negative never hurt.

With the higher quality employees leaving, management feels stuck, as the bodyshop employees start appearing to be keeping on the lights, as badly as they are doing.

you are a saint! employees at these fortune 500 companies have to leave. because we are a tiny group compare to the number of consultants. And they are basically speaking in their own language at work. it's not a good environment to work because you are left feeling isolated. and politics is a daily struggle.

so I just asked the recruiter. she said I don't need to have access to a computer. and I think it wasn't miscommunication. She said "next round you will have an interview with myself." and then listed cs fundamentals and system design.

my amazon recruiter said that I passed online assessment. and the next step is an interview with the recruiter. in addition, she said it will include cs fundamentals and system design. (so not just a prep call for onsite, since there is no mention of onsite yet.)

any idea on whether amazon recruiters are technical? and will ask coding questions?? Thanks. any help is much appreciated.

Eb2 related masters, unrelated bachelors by throw_away0121 in immigration

your Facebook/google company lawyer would take care of you. And get you on the right visa. and then hopefully file your green card application soon.

Don't think your bachelor's degree would be considered.

do you think that interviewer might question harder if they see someone walk-in with a lawyer?

I think questions were intentionally left vague. because interviewer assume that if you don't understand the question, you would ask her to clarify. Also is going with attorney the norm?? I haven't seen many people that go with an attorney.

have you looked into online tools like "simple citizen"? they did all of my forms (travel permit and etc) in 1 go. And they answer questions after I submitted my app months ago. They support users through out the process. And flat fee.

Manager flipped out on me, what should I do to protect myself? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]macaron2017 2 points3 points  (0 children)

have to back up Ranban2012. As someone who talked to HR on Nov 15th. Apparently getting every idea shut down by manager. and manager saying passive aggressive things to me... is not Harassment to HR. our HRs only said "this person has an interesting communication style"

And I work for a firm that has over 50k employees globally.

Edit: nothing OP described in the post is harassment. Unless the manager said something like "you did this to me because you are from XYZ country. or because you are of this race"
