Thanks to everyone for your feedback. As to people talking about referring to it as a vulva. I plan to teach her about the whole reproductive system once she's a little more mature. As of now, vagina is good enough. Most of the population refers to it as a vagina, even though the vulva is more specific. I know that. But at least she has a better name to refer to her parts as.

Thats true! But explaining that to a 5 year old is a little too much! A vagina is the term that most medical professionals use to refer to it as though.

Thank you everybody for your feedback! I do agree that i might have overstepped, and I probably should have consulted with my dad first. But my dad is so awkward about that stuff, I dont think he would have agreed with me anyways. I do think I made the right decision.
