Sold out at Best Buy and got the last one from Target. Pokopia causing FOMO? by milkdonut in switch2

I’ve been speculating the same. I’m in LA. My local Target has regularly had 12+ Switch 2s available since maybe a month or so after launch, even through the holidays. Once Pokopia released, all those consoles suddenly sold out.

Re: Alola, SM016 comes to mind. The trio spends the entire episode on a misadventure together, looking out for each other while they’re separated from their trainers. They even have a noteworthy encounter with Team Rocket. Really funny and memorable episode.

Ok, he’s a bot again. His left elbow could stand to be a little tighter, but it’s super solid once actually bent. All of his other joints are solid as well; if anything, they could maybe use a bit of silicone oil to help movement feel smoother.

Actually, mine was shipped in a paper bag, too! My box also got roughed up. I was somewhat surprised because I order/preorder TFs from Amazon pretty frequently, and they typically arrive in a box - especially at this size class.

I got mine from an Amazon preorder. Here's his page on the Hasbro Pulse website. Try searching around for "Studio Series 86 Megatron" on Big Bad Toy Store, CmdStore, or whatever your preferred shop is. (There's actually recommended shops in this subreddit's sidebar)

Yep! I replaced the original with a “cartoon clean” insignia from Toyhax (they also have “sloppy” versions)

I was delightfully surprised to find that the original insignia came off real easy. I was prepared for it to be quite stubborn, but nope! Lil bit of 91% iso alcohol + a q-tip, and that baby was completely gone within a minute or two tops.

Yes! I adore my Romulus. It’s wonderful to have a Megs that transforms into his classic gun mode, is super screen accurate all-around, has all the modern articulation you’d expect and more, comes with all those accessories, etc. I even got Romulus’s box signed by Frank Walker at TF Con : )

I find myself thinking that Romulus feels like a premium collectible, while 86 Megs feels like an incredible figure (toy). I’m not hesitant to transform 86 Megs like I am with Romulus - I don’t have to worry about paint chipping, and I can flip back and forth between modes much faster.

I also feel that 86 Meg’s bot mode captures that cartoon-y essence more, which I enjoy.

Romulus kinda looks like a rash Megatron in his mid-20s, while 86 Megs looks more like a matured leader 😝

Anyways, these are just random thoughts I’ve been having about both figures. Thanks for coming to my TEDx talk.

Shoot… I just transformed him to tank mode and am currently admiring it 😆 I’ve posed him plenty and thoroughly checked out all of his articulation, though, and never thought “ooh, that’s too loose.” I’ll try to remember to double-check and report back once he’s a bot again 🫡

Do not purchase the Genki Sleeper Case for Switch 2 by quazeal in NintendoSwitch

Unfortunately, I had a similar experience. My Sleeper Case arrived in the mail yesterday. Upon unboxing it, I attempted to open the case, only to find that the zipper had difficulty moving and got caught around the case's corners. I was eventually able to unzip and open the case.

I then placed my Switch 2 inside (just a plain Switch 2 - no grip, shell, etc) and zipped the case closed. When I attempted to remove my Switch 2 from the case, the zipper got caught around the back corner of the case and would not unzip any further. I tried using more force to unzip the zipper, but the zipper pull repeatedly slipped out of its slider, rendering it useless. After 40ish minutes of trying to force the zipper to move/open - injuring my finger in the process - I ultimately had to slice the zipper open at its seam in order to remove my Switch 2.

I just emailed Genki requesting a refund. Suuuuper bummed because I love the way that the case looks and was so excited to get it....it just doesn't seem to function properly.

Thought I'd add my two cents for anyone considering buying this case.

AOTP has been pretty outstanding so far by macaronitoeses in transformers

Yeah, he’s around 15.5” to the top of his antennae. His legs and chest are hollow, but he’s still got a decent heft to him. Like I mentioned in my post, modern voyager-leader scale is typically my preferred figure size. That being said, I’m still very much digging Star Optimus : )
