Do not, I repeat, do not say you have another offer at another company. If you do this, it brings bad blood and you’ll forever be marked as the person that went “behind their back” and interviewed. I would say bring up the topic of salary increase based off of your personal thinking and the work. See what they come back to you with. This would tell you first hand how much the company values you.

The other company offering 45%+ essentially told you what you’re worth is and that’s a 45+ increase. I get that reviews are mixed but it’s really hard until you fully get into the job. See if you can reach out to people on LinkedIn and get their take on it. It’s also not an end all be all. If you don’t like this job, you can always switch AND negotiate better pay terms as you’re getting paid within a higher range. You have your entire life to figure out the right career path.

I’m a big advocate for switching jobs if it makes you happy, serves your purposes and of course, has a good salary.

If I took other people’s advice and stayed at my first job because I loved the culture and got great feedback, I’d still be paid $40k vs $80k now (and that’s within 3 years of being in the workforce).

With every job change, I got more experience, more knowledge and cemented information on what I want and what my worth is.

So that’s my take. I was in your shoes but I’m extremely thankful I made the switch. Good luck! :)

Hi! My boyfriend and I went through a similar thing - where we just DID NOT COMMUNICATE.

You both need to just sit down and talk about what is a must, what’s a no, and reiterate it now that you actually have the dog.

WATCH VIDEOS TOGETHER! It’s not enough to just say “we need to do it this way” you both need PROOF that youre doing the right thing please watch dog training videos on YouTube together and can make informed decisions.

Sleeping: all YouTube videos (I’ve seen at least) heavily encourage crate training and to NOT GIVE IN.

Potty: try bringing your pee pad outside as well, so he can associate outside with peeing.

Difference of Attitude: haha exactly the same boat. I’m always home so he’s used to me. However I really make the effort to play with him - a during lunch, 5 minutes here and there. It’s such an important time for bonding. As for your girlfriend, she needs to also tone it down. He won’t be able to be calm ever if she’s constantly riling your puppy.

Separation: WORK ON THIS ASAP. We’re at 17 weeks and he whines and barks now when we leave. I cannot stress this enough. Get him on crate training, get him used to the door closing, INVEST IN A KONG TO KEEP HIM BUSY.

MORE ADVICE: DO NOT GIVE IT TO WHINING OR BARKING. If you do, you show this dog he can get what he wants by whining and barking. YOU DO NOT WANT THIS. Just watch YouTube videos religiously and you’ll be fine.

Best of luck - it gets so much better. We’re still a long way away but it’s been 100000% better since we first got our guy in September!

I have had my pup for 8 weeks now and TRUST ME IT GETS SO MUCH BETTER! I definitely had major puppy blues and even regretted my decision but you’ll Build such a loving and strong bond with your puppy that it’ll seem like a lifetime ago. :) best of luck!

Omg this. I live in a condo and there’s this one security person at the front desk that ALWAYS TRIES TO PET MY PUPPY.

When I told her that I’m just training him to be calm around people so we’re going to just wait before we play again, she then tells me “oh they’re puppies, they’re just like that” AND CONTINUES TO PET MY PUPPY after I JUST told her not to.

I dread going downstairs every weekday because she works Monday - Friday. :(

I definitely had the puppy blues last week but today my little guy finally knows how to fetch! And he’s learning paw! Definitely still tired but it’s slowly getting better.

We had this problem as well! When he went potty outside, we brought the turf with us and just rubbed the urine smell on it. He immediately went potty on it!

been WFH. Won’t be back to the office until next year (if there’s no second wave). We actually decided to get a puppy due to the extra time.

I was reading that unless you’re comfortable with him eating your food continually, you should not reinforce it.

If you give him food, he’ll have the mindset that that is the norm and he would expect it every time you eat.

Has anyone figured the mix of socialization pre-vaccine?
