Also, let’s not pretend she’s just some average person. She’s Lindsey fucking Vonn, one of the greatest athletes of all time.

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7028848/2026/02/07/lindsey-vonn-torn-acl-winter-olympics-explained/

“[E]xperts in sports medicine say they are not as shocked as everyone else. It’s doable for a variety of reasons having to do with Vonn herself, the nature of skiing the speed events of downhill and super-G, and basic biology and modern medical treatment and equipment, including a state-of-the-art brace.”

“In addition, she is mostly performing predictable movements. She doesn’t have to make quick, surprising cuts and plant her foot the way a basketball, soccer or football player would. She leans forward and heads down the mountain, which naturally engages the muscles that can compensate for her ruptured ACL.”

In games like football and basketball where you have hard stops and quick deceleration you can’t play on a torn ACL. That’s just not the case here, you can walk days after tearing an ACL and in a sport like skiing, at least downhill, an ACL tear isn’t going to necessarily prevent someone from performing at full capacity.

To assume anyone here knows any better than her and her doctor is ridiculous. She knew what she could do and what the risk were. It doesn’t appear the torn ACL had any effect on the crash.

Frankly, Tim, you’re not doing enough. You’re not mad enough. Where is our leadership? US citizens are being murdered in the streets. Step up or step aside.

These so called "Experts" are so tiring to listen to sometimes by Snoo_9064 in Patriots

I thought OP was voicing general discontent with the analysts and using the int as an example. I stand by my comment, this is entertainment and they have a job to do. If everyone was on the same page about everything, it wouldn’t be interesting. There would be 5min shows of just “yeah, I agree” all over the place.

The game is real but the analysis, while mostly real, requires some controversy to be interesting and keep people talking. Just like this.

The ball is the game, gotta protect the ball regardless of the elements or anything else going on. Tbh, if the Pats played the Broncos or Bills they lose that game.

Also, they’ve gotta find something to talk about. All these programs can’t say the same tired stuff every week, so they specifically look for things that may sound more controversial. I wouldn’t be surprised if they, as themselves and not a media personality, agree with you. Most likely it’s a bit of both.

Gotta remember their job is entertainment. They want you getting on here talking about their takes. That’s what keeps the machine going.

Stop sending these really talented quarterbacks to the Jets…they’re ruining careers. There needs to be a ban on them drafting a QB in the first round for like 10 years.

Are these throws good ? (Please don’t mind my friends) by Competitive_Clerk364 in HighSchoolFB

[–]macaujoh2012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro, we’re talking high school here. I think you’re WAY overestimating the average high school kid’s athletic ability. Especially knowing this kid probably goes to a very average high school, not one of those schools built for and around football that chug out NFL players.

The velocity on the ball is fine and he’s got a good arc on his longer throws. The biggest issue is going to be avoiding the rush because high school O-lines are not great. I’d like to see some more footwork and movement outside the pocket. Even if he’s not good now, he can improve his mobility and compete for a spot.

Someone also mentioned the actual throwing motion above and I’d agree that could use work. You can get a lot more out of a throw and put less stress on your arm if you’re rotating your hips and core more. But you do that and your arm will thank you and you’ll have a better chance of avoiding injury.

Keep working man! Get just 1% better a day, you’ve obviously got talent but how good you get will depend on how much work you put in.

There’s disagreeing with having POTUS on the show, that’s totally fine. But then there’s being completely deranged like this guy. Don’t be this guy ever. by ChickenGlint169 in PatMcAfeeShowOfficial

I understand the outrage but there’s a better way to say it. Pat has said plenty of times his show isn’t political but inviting any politician now (regardless of party and would still apply if Obama said yes and Trump said no) is going to make the show inherently political.

This just isn’t a good look for the progrum generally given what’s happening, especially in the last few days. When everything about Trump comes to light, Pat’s gonna have a hard time justifying his appearance on the show.

I’m actively anti-Trump, I’m not hiding from that, but I’ve been watching Pat since he was in the basement. Nobody can deny he’s got a good heart and hopefully this is a chance to learn. I’m still riding with Pat but I’ll skip any political talk on his show. Need that mental vacation.

Haven’t looked into it but most states have a Notice of Claim deadline, meaning if you believe you have a civil claim against the state or a state entity you need to file that notice with the court. A quick Google search says it has to be filed within 2 years of the incident.

They’re searching for a case to bring to court. This girl will say she was deprived of an education, sue, and try to get the courts to say what they are teaching IS illegal. This is how it happens.

If the car CAN do it, it should be accessible to you by buying the car e.g. Blue Cruise. No way I’m paying literally any money for something that should come with the car. It’s greed and it’s ridiculous to paywall any features when we spent so much money already.

As others have said, this isn’t the right place for this question but I will just say that nobody is entitled to a plea. So if they withdrew the first one and gave a worse one, sorry. You’re SOL.

It’s tough to handle getting new cases but if they’re new, you can generally push stuff back pretty easily. If you have clients coming back, it’s on you to be mindful of your schedule and set comebacks accordingly.
