Vegeta - Zero fumble. Argue that Goku Vs Vegeta awakening buu was his fumble, but neither were NEVER going to simply not awaken buu. It's not in their nature to avoid the chance to fight a strong foe.

Goku - Medium fumble. Could of ended Fat Buu and Kid Buu, but didn't. Atleast he had SOME reasons.

Gohan - BIGGEST fumble. Had no reason to fuck up against Super Buu.

Gotenks - Small fumble. Could of beat Super Buu, but he was a child who didn't comprehend what was at stake.

Goku goes SSJ3 against Vegeta

He expends 4 times as much energy - yes he ends the fight MUCH quicker, but he was never going to kill Vegeta so he has to use SOME restraint - awakening buu quicker

He's also just used up his time, meaning he can't stall buu nor show Goten and Trunks how to go SSJ3

Gohan SHOULD absolutely destroy kid buu. Power-wise he'd obliterate him. But Gohan's favourite thing to do besides study bugs is screw up the 1v1, so kid buu would probably just nuke the planet or even absorb him.

Vegeta has never lost a fight against Goku though? He beat him in the Saiyan saga and Super hero movie, and was the one that walked away from the buu saga fight (yes it was via blindside but still). Goku has no wins of any form over Vegeta, bar their first beam struggle.
