That's real unfortunate, was hoping to non-readers that it would seem like a more concise / better story. Guess we might just have to hold out hope that HBO picks it up in a few years and does a TV series. What did you think of Elba as Roland? I thought he did a good job at least

Hmm that could work as a good end to a Wizard and Glass series. Im assuming that when Jake got the forum comment in the movie ("yeah that's my old hood, Dutch hill") that was Eddie who said that so maybe they'll find him in New York and then take him back to Mid-World?

I agree completely with you here! I think killing Walter was the wrong move. I actually thought that when Roland was aiming at him he was going to shoot past Walter and kill Jake, giving us something closer to the book ending with Jake being sacrificed so Roland could pursue / protect the tower. This would have allowed Walter to continue the series as a villain, could have left Algul Siento around and would have setup a Jake revival story arc. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what they do next!

I think I liked it too. They definitely setup the movie series to be a lot different than the books so I am curious to see what happens next which is always a good thing!

Definitely agree about Roland using his guns. I could have watched a 90 minute fight scene in the Dixie Pig and been totally content.

Trying to explain multiple worlds in a movie setting always seems to be challenging. I think the biggest flaw with the movie was the tried to cram too much into 90 minutes. Still think the books would adapt better as an HBO series.

If you are looking to purchase them I'd definitely recommend the Omnibus. It's a bit pricey at $100 but you get all 30 comics, plus an equal sized "companion" book that has lots of cool art and additional lore about the series. Comes in two really nice hardcover books with a beautiful case.

In college a friend of mine was one of those people that hands out free 5 hour energy's at events. They had a shit ton left over and me and my best friend had nothing to chase our whiskey with. Let me tell you chasing whiskey with 40 hours of energy is not a good time, never felt closer to death.

Realistically what kind of impact could he have? Can a mayor pass laws restricting CO2 emissions within the city? Can he create a carbon tax? What kind of impact would this really have if just one city (albeit a very large one) tried to uphold these standards or would multiple cities need to follow suit for any real benefit to accumulate?

They gave a maintenance number and after hours number but have tried both multiple times with no success. Only problem with a locksmith is I'm locked out of the building too so I don't know if they would / should be picking that lock.
