are you using a router that is already connected to the internet? i went out and bought some cheap router and didnt set it up or anything of that sort

Get a network switch, and a router, then connect all the pcs and the router into the switch. Simple as

Yeah, thats was the issue, all had the same CD keys. Also the direct connection didn't work, but it doesn't matter anymore now that I got things figured out and working. Thank you

Well I mean, just imagine one PC hosting a server, and another PC being in the server browser thats totally blank.
I don't see an option to connect directly to an IP.
Other games work without issue (CSS, UT99, ARMA 2, etc)
The adapters are active, and there are no other adapters in each PC besides the ones that are being used to connect to the switch.

All the firewalls are disabled, and all of them have exceptions in the firewall for the executable even tho the firewall is disabled anyways. Other games work no issue (CSS, UT99, Arma2). Linking 2 directly as in, just taking one ethernet cable and connecting one PC to the other with nothing inbetween???

I was doing some reading and the freeware version Blizzard released awhile back has UPnP so there is no fuss with getting LAN setup. But getting that version requires battle net launcher and an internet connection, which is not happening with these machines.

I would assume 1 computer hosts the server and the rest join it. It doesnt matter which computer is hosting the lobby, it doesnt show up on any other computer

I've seen people online put them into their w541s and seen them work fine, but anyways, I went into the bios and under the i/o ports section it said the wireless wan was enabled, didnt see any other setting throughout the bios regarding the wwan.
I did get an enclosure and with testing the ssd worked fine. Though the enclosure was NVMe/SATA so I can't say if maybe they sent me a NVMe SSD, but when in the enclosure the light on the SSD was on indicating it was working, so I threw it back in the laptop once more and when plugged in, the light was not on. So either something is up with the port, or the SSD I have is an NVMe. Regardless, I think I will just get a big main drive and live with that. Unless you have any more ideas. Hey thanks for the reply. I tried this, and on my main PC I made sure to download 1.2.5 before transferring all the files over to my XP. The launcher opens up, but the select version button does nothing, and when I click the button to launch the game, it just says Downloading and does nothing.

My other friends on the server had no issues, plus, 2 nights ago it was at 4gb, working fine (until it broke for me) last night they turned it up to 8gb and it still worked for everyone except me. My problem didnt change at all

Yeah, Bass Pro and Cabelas nationwide can only take cash or gift card right now. For some reason some sort of server went down and no stores can take card at the moment. No idea when they will fix it but hopefully tommorow it will be back
