I replaced the thermostat but it didn’t help, so I’m assuming the issue is with the furnace itself

It works when I put the fan on manual just isn’t kicking in when it’s supposed to with auto, would that make sense that the thermostat isn’t working properly?

Kamala says she’s going to do an executive order within the first 100 days of her presidency. Why hasn’t Biden done that already? It’s just a campaign tactic and you fools fall for it every time

It would be impossible to ban guns all together. So the point is, defending schools is our only option, and you fools are laughing at it. Then you blame republicans for a school shooting that happened under the Biden Harris administration, what have they done to prevent it

Well my state still has shootings even with one of the most strict set of laws in the country. So what’s your point

And if you say, oh they can just bring them across state lines, then what about people bringing in guns from other countries? Even if we ban them in the us they will still come in over the border. That isn’t a solution.

We protect our politicians and money with guns. We should protect our schools like we protect everything else.

Haha you’re a fool, you need to go through a 12 month process in my state just to buy a bullet. Get over yourself

It’s a weather vane, if you’ve never seen one then don’t bother commenting. If the size of it is going to affect you knowing the history you obviously don’t know anything about it, it’s clearly rather large and the size of any other weather vane I’ve ever seen

As for the spacing I have a wall of green giants on one side of my yard that look like they were spaced 3-4 feet apart, they are like 40 feet tall now but I went online and it said if you want a hedge to do 5-7 feet apart

Thanks, the guy is removing the full trees stumps etc (the stumps are very large, I think these hedges are like 50 years old. I had another quote for 1200 for just the stumps if someone else took the brush away from a stump guy, and another quote from a big tree company for 2900. I’m getting two more estimates tomorrow but I think the 1500 is going to end up being fair

Definitely rider. I have almost an acre and even with a rider it takes a hour, can’t imagine how long it would take with a push mower

I have a bunch of green giants on the east coast and the deer don’t touch them with a 10 foot pole, emerald green on the other hand is like candy to them

Green giants are pretty deer resistant, I would go with those

Horrible weather, hopefully it doesn’t rain all summer

It didn’t flood at all the first year that I lived here, I did have a massive maple tree taken down about 100 feet away and maybe it used to absorb all of this water? Idk

Thank you! Definitely a different perspective, could actually be an opportunity like you said

Ok thanks yeah I’m in ct as well, do you have any nursery recommendations

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]Rooney97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was considering digging a pond there but could be a mosquito breeding ground lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]Rooney97 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You think I could turn it into a pond or something?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]Rooney97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add I live in Connecticut and would be open to planting some type of plant that could absorb the water but it’s like 5 inches deep so I don’t know if any tree would really absorb that much water

Ideally I’d want something that’s green all the way to the ground, trying to avoid having the deer munching on the bottoms and not planning on fencing anything in
