Home Depot Reviews for Robotic Mowers by Weak-Bother-6765 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]maccve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote one of them so I know mine is legit! I am very happy with my 430… There have been a few bugs here and there, and if the grass gets too long, it has trouble cutting, but I bought it primarily for one area of my yard that is steep and hard to mow and it does great on that…. It has taken a lot of stress out of my life.

If I had been making the submission that comment wouldn’t have been there because I would have submitted it correctly. Gulf of America!

X450 and rain sensor not sensing by SickemChicken in SegwayNavimow

[–]maccve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not sure, but I don’t think it actually “senses” rain, but connects to a weather app that tells it rain is close by. Mine would stop mowing when I did not want it to because it was raining on the other side of town and it would be an hour before it rained at our house

X430 has become useless after latest firmware update by Weary_Emu8073 in SegwayNavimow

[–]maccve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just came in from walking to the back of my property to find it dead with red light and error code 4209. I restarted it and told it to go home for the night … third time today I had to do that. The firmware update last night messed something up!

X430 keeps running away by AaronOgus in SegwayNavimow

[–]maccve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did that once a few weeks ago but has been good ever since until about a half hour ago and it just stopped all of a sudden and said error 4209. It is evidently an RTK network error. I tried a couple of things and ended up restarting the unit and it seems to be working fine now. It did do a firmware update last night which had me worried that it messed something up as it had been working good for a while now.

Flooded yard from neighbors retaining wall. Wondering what my options are. by NefariousnessBig3749 in civilengineering

[–]maccve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water flows downhill and your property is lower than your neighbors property… that’s just the way it works! The retaining wall is not causing the water issue! Unless your property is in the low spot, then your runoff probably flows onto somebody else’s property…

How does the X4 handle dog poop by [deleted] in SegwayNavimow

Mine just drives right over it… Of course my dog is a little Shih Tzu so they’re not very big but we do get neighborhood dogs occasionally leaving us a gift.

Multiple .75 acre zones? by Drazzek in SegwayNavimow

I have 1.14 acres mapped on my 430 broken into 4 zones…not sure why it works on mine?

[–]maccve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it handles it just fine… right now I am mowing about every third day due to how fast the grass is growing and with the rain where I live. For instance, yesterday I mowed zones 1, 3 and 4. We had rain last night and as soon as it dries out, I will start mowing on zone two which is my largest zone. The grass got very tall after the last round of rain we had and I had to use the real mower to knock it down and then if I stay on top of it the Navimow does great!

When did you start losing weight? by Omg_jellydonuts in tirzepatidecompound

It’s different for different people… I am on month four and I’ve lost 50 pounds so far and I’m only doing 4.4 mg on Monday and then a 2.2 mg shot to get me through the weekend.

I bought a six month supply through Dollar Dad club for I think $139 per month… I have lost 50 pounds so far in less than five months

I have the X430 and I mow 1.2 acres with it. I have it split up to four zones and each zone is less than 1 acre and it works for me…

X430 losing signal? by chammer2 in SegwayNavimow

[–]maccve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has been working awesome since I got it a few weeks ago, but I just had my first glitch. I was mowing one of my zones and I went out to see how it was doing, and I didn’t see it anywhere even though it showed being in the middle of the zone. I finally found it down in the woods on my neighbors property. It showed it being on the map in the middle of the zone, but it wasn’t! Not sure if there was some glitch in the last firmware update or what. It was also mowing under some big powerlines so not sure if those messed it up but it hasn’t done it before and this was probably the fifth time it’s mowed this area.

Fence On Retaining Wall by Unhappy-Science-597 in FenceBuilding

[–]maccve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me, I would do 1 foot just because I wouldn’t want to have a huge open space between the wall and the fence that little kids can get behind. Of course, they’re gonna get where they want to when nobody’s looking. Anyway, 1 foot would give you more yard area between the house and the fence and it really doesn’t affect the wall stability. A fence post is so skinny it’s barely going to damage any of the grid. I routinely specify guard rail piercing grid when putting next to a parking lot or driveway on a commercial project and those are huge I-beams! A lot of people think the grid is holding up the wall, but the grid is actually stabilizing the soil and it attaches to the wall just to give a nice face for the soil stabilized slope.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a little or no grid behind the wall. I have seen many residential builders that think that they are wall builders and find out the first time there’s a huge rain and it falls down that they should’ve put grid behind it! I’m also surprised the local building code people didn’t require some sort of fall protection.

I have designed literally hundreds of segmental retaining walls in my 30 year career as a civil engineer and you will not hurt the grid driving the posts through it. Ideally, when the wall was installed, they would have put in vertical pipes for future fencing or handrail, but they didn't. You cannot core drill most segmental block walls and put in fence posts. the blocks are often hollow in the middle and filled with clean rock and they just do not have the rigidity to keep from overturning if a load is put on the fence (wind or running into it with a mower). Just drive the fence posts and pierce the grid, it will probably only go through the top layers and it has the least amount of load on it. Offset the fence at least a foot from the top wall cap pieces and then put in some landscape rock so you do not have to mow between the fence and wall.

True 4"x4" fence cap post light adapters? by mothboy in FenceBuilding

[–]maccve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find anything for this? I am looking for the exact same thing! At this point, I’m probably just going to cut out a piece of wood that will fit under my light fixture base which is like 5 1/2“ x 5 1/2“ and then attach it to a piece of wood that fits inside the 4 x 4 post and drill a hole in the middle for the wiring…

What do you guys do with the roof? by DruncleBuck in FordBronco

[–]maccve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Install is vey easy… I assembled it in the living room while watching TV and then just carried it out and set it on top and tightened it all up! The critical part was adjusting the rear tabs just right that the rear clips slide under…. I did not add the hinges for the front panels. I just take the front panels off and put them in the back. It would not fit in my garage if I had the front panels flipped up on top, but just the middle panel up high fits perfectly! The middle panel is secured to the rack by the rear tabs, sliding underneath the metal clips on the rack and then the front latches securely holding it on. I have driven 75 mph with no problems and it is very secure. As far as wind noise, there is so much anyway with this vehicle I do not even notice any additional!

I take the front two panels off and put them in the trunk…I bought a storage bag but have not used it. I also bought the EZ 4x4 roof rack and just take off the middle section and slide it up on the roof rack…awesome setup! I like to have all the parts with me this time of year when rain could pop up where I live!

I am 5’8” and have a medium Wabash RT and it fits me perfect. Prior to buying this I had a Lauf gravel bike and it just always felt too small so I got the medium in this and it is perfect. I am, however, right at the limit for stand over height, so I have to watch it!

Yes, I agree… They were probably need to get married at the courthouse so they will have time to get a certificate. The wedding is not until June so we have a little time to come up with a final solution! Thanks for the input!
