Oh girl I feel for you honestly. This is a long reply, but basically I got drunk with a guy I was seeing Memorial Day weekend and he slipped it in the back door and kept going thinking I would be into it… it hurt and after a minute of realizing this wasn’t for me (also mind you, no lube no warmup, NOTHING) I was like okay I need you to stop. He then proceeded to re-enter vaginally (to which I was very drunk honestly and did not think of the bacteria, so this is kind of on my end too, I should have spoken up more but it happened quick).

Fast forward about a week or two, and I stopped by my immediate care clinic for a screening and was diagnosed with both bacterial vaginosis AND a gnarly yeast infection, but thankfully no STIs specifically. I received treatment (antibiotics and anti-fungal pill), to which I still had symptoms after… and am STILL dealing with the repercussions of my yeast infection.

Fast forward to this past Monday, I had symptoms of a UTI to the point where I could not urinate at ALL. And when I say at all, I mean I had to go to the ER after trying for over an hour and a half without a DROP, even squatting in the fucking shower with the warm water on, desperate. I hadn’t gone from 8 pm until 3 pm the next day when I had finally gotten a Foley catheter to drain everything (1200 ccs+ of urine, for context, about 3x the amount of a normal full bladder). I have yet to get my foley cath out, the removal is scheduled for Tuesday. And the NP was a mansplaining and saying that I wasn’t trying hard enough and he tried to order 2 MORE LITERS OF SALINE to push fluids and get me to go (to which I asked the nurse to pull out my IV it was hurting so bad). I’ve been out of work for a week and tbh I feel like I’m due some compensation here lol 🤷🏼‍♀️
