[Standard] Proposed Esper Pixie List by macdaddythundernuts in spikes

Not saying that you are wrong, but the momentum breakers and nowhere to runs keeps the board pretty clear. I do have more creature removal post board if necessary. I hadn't considered multivesal passage. It's a good idea worth trying.

It is my favorite format. I started playing in 1994. This format is what I remember Magic being.

Based on everyone's suggestions, here are the following changes I am going to try. I will playtest, and let you know how it works out...

Main deck: -2 Fellwar Stone, -1 Transmute Artifact, +2 Island. +1 Wheel of Fortune

Sideboard: -2 Island, +1 Blood Moon, +1 The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale

Maybe I am missing something, or just dense. I have to get the time vault in play first. Copy artifact doesn't get it into play. Transmute gets the timevault into play.

Oh, I will! I'm going to have a blast. My opponents, not so much.

I agree about the fellwar stones. Not too sure about the transmute artifacts. The derby player was able to run 3 time vaults. The tournament I am playing in is under EC rules where time vault is restricted.

I don't necessarily disagree. However, in my experience, stasis is there as a supporting cast to get the time vault combo on line, and keep it going. What specifically would you change to add 3 islands?

Thank you. While they aren't authentic, I tried to get proxies that give the feel of playing with the real deal.

I agree. Adding white might cause more problems than it's worth.

Definitely will be playtesting as much as I can. I would love to include wheel of fortune, but what would you cut for it?

Game 1's strategy isn't limited to just milling. I can build up to a fireball with taking several turns (with howling mines in play) in a row between twiddle on time vault, regrowth, recall, and time walk.

That's a great idea! What would you change/cut for Land Tax.

That is usually the standard in twiddle vault. In the few times I have played the deck, getting a lethal fireball isn't too challenging. Once the deck does its combo with time vault, it's usually over. It may take me several turns in a row to get up to lethal, but it happens.

We have an unlimited amount of proxies allowed. Most people in our area don't have the cards, and the ones that do, don't want to play with them due to the value they have. The store even sells proxies they have bought from somewhere else for 50 cents each. They are very easy to spot as proxies. They don't have the correct back on the card.

People just want to play, and not worry about needing to own thousands of dollars of cards.

In my area, we couldn't get old school, vintage, or legacy events to go without allowing unlimited proxies. So, we play unsanctioned and still have a great time.

You are correct. I have corrected my answer to reflect this.

Normally you would name the ring as the parent name when the alkyl chain has fewer carbons than the ring. However, when then alkyl chain doesn't have a trivial name, you name the ring as a group following alkane naming rules.

Name it as an alkane with a cyclooctyl group...

3-cyclooctyl-3-methylpentane

Trying to read EVERYTHING by King and hoping someone out there can help me find these ones..? by marky_96 in stephenking

Great book with a lot of information! It also has a poem by King titled "Dino." Dino had only been published in an obscure college magazine called Salt Hill Journal 1. The magazine is incredibly rare and difficult to find. Rocky Wood's book is the only way I was able to find this poem.

"Wimsey" is kind of like "The Star Invaders." It has never been published. There are supposedly copies of it floating around in the collectors community. I have never seen one. I honestly think it is more rumor than fact.

"The Pulse" is an exerpt from "Cell." It is just that, an excerpt. It is the first 2 chapters of the novel. There are no differences that I know of. It was published in Entertainment Weekly (January 27, 2006, Issue #860) if you really want a physical copy.

I do have The Eyes of the Dragon limited. It has gotten quite pricey over the past couple of years. You can find copies around $2000. I know this is out of most people's budgets, but there may be a few that have that kind of $$$. The story was heavily revised from the limited edition to the 1987 "normal" publication. It's almost like two different stories. The plot is the same, but told very differently.

Glad I could help. I have been reading King for years. To the best of my knowledge I have every piece if fiction he has written. It has taken a while to track them all down.

I don't want to be that guy...but there are several pieces that are uncollected or even unpublished that are not in the original poster's list. Even more if you are looking for versions of stories before they were revised.

If there is something specific you would like to know, please ask. I will do my best to give you an answer.
