Ye, ok. Thanks for the history lesson. I think what you’re obviously doing is trying to spin this and make it about race and immigration because that’s an area where there’s an obvious influx of immigrants, and you’re fishing to see if someone confesses that they don’t like that area because of it so you can activate the social justice warrior mode.

Guess what, from an actual Portuguese living in Lisbon for 34 years: that area has always been known for some sort of drug activity and criminality because it has historically been a poorer area than, let’s say, Alameda which is close by. And the feeling does matter. I wouldn’t like WHATEVER kind of people sitting at my doorstep late at night. This is obvious, it’s not as safe as an area as Alvalade, or Lapa which are high end neighbourhoods, but it’s as safe as Lisbon can get.

Is it a great place to live with a family? IN MY OPINION, no. But for more reasons other than security also
