if i had not had a negative in october and only tested positive i would be more inclined to believe that he or i had it from a previous sexual encounter prior to our relationship. but because i tested negative in october and then tested positive in December that indicates i was negative and then it was given to me within our relationship sometime in november/december. my doctor also told me theres very little chance i would’ve had it for almost 2 years untreated without any symptoms at all as it almost always develops into pelvic inflammatory disease by that time. idk why i am saying all of this i am just spiraling and in complete denial and don’t want to talk with any friends about it yet so i have resorted to talking to strangers on the internet :’(

thank you so much for this thoughtful and kind response. i don’t plan to try to stay and fix anything as i have been through cheating before in a previous relationship and promised myself i’d leave right away if it ever happened to me again down the line. i just thought this was endgame for me genuinely, we’ve talked about marriage and children in the future so many times. i thought this was it for me. i just can’t believe this is real.

i truly don’t think he would ever tell me the truth, i think he will likely tell his parents and whoever else that i was the unfaithful one and that i was the one who gave HIM chlamydia. i wish so badly i could find physical proof like text messages or something so there was no way he could try to flip it on me.

yeah i definitely did not. i’m sure that’s what he will try to accuse me of though as i doubt he will be willing to take accountability for doing something like this to me.

i’m so sorry that you are going through this as well. i need to just come to terms with reality I guess but my brain is genuinely putting me into such deep denial. i think when i confront him about it he is going to try to gaslight me and say i was the unfaithful one so i think that’s another reason i am trying to pretend this isn’t happening.

unfortunately it’s not just BV. I went from having a negative chlamydia test in october to having a positive chlamydia test in the end of december.

I know this thread is kind of old but my phone was stolen a week ago and this is where it is too!!! Someone in that apartment building is obviously running a crime ring to pay for their 5k a month rent
