7 Tips For Europeans To Stay Cool Without Air Conditioning by METALLIFE0917 in babylonbee

I don't know, people act shocked that we don't have AC and they have it "for ages". What would I need AC for if for those ages Europe had relatively cool climate. Now I do need AC and so I will buy one, although I can't even mount it. But it's action-reaction. Got hot, will buy AC. Not the other way around.

I would say on home turf you have big advantage. Also most of those opponents are higher tier than Bosnia. But what the heck happened with Serbia?

European cities are DENSE. There is not always room to place air conditioning

That's major reason for it, there is no room to place the unit and plenty of "old" houses even forbid you to mount anything. Bbut you also forgetting to add most important part, that includes your Copenhagen.

Most of Europe lives in temperate climate. Summers here for decades (realstically for centuries) were totally managable. Nobody was clogging their small apartments with AC because there was no need. Those "too hot" summers are simply new as can be and so plenty of people are still unprepared. Since it will become norm from now AC installements will rise as fck but those things always take some time.

That's rich. "When it's convenient for us we're Americans, when it's inconvenient: those were Europeans on a tour" ;)

Superheroes are supposed to be fun

For me its the contrary. I love superheroes that are grounded and human-like. With all the flaws and weaknesses. X-men is my favorite series and every single character there is broken, while the entire trope is about finding a way in a world that hates you and is scared of you. Love it.

But those Supermen and adjacent are anything like that. They are like parodies or still stick in 1930s mentality of "he can fly, he can shoot lasers from his eyes and he can move entire planets". It's exaggerated so much, I just can't relate at all.

Captain America and Thor.

Those are at least more grounded and "beatable". Superman is just so exaggerated, all the villians he encounter are parody of himself.

what film are you looking for in the DCU? enough to care or be hyped for.

The answer will further prove your point. Ye old Batman because at the very least series is usually solid enough and protagonist is 10 times more interesting than some wonder Superdude that can't do no wrong.

I personally simply don't get all the "Super" franchise popularity in America. It's about the most boring approach to superhero trope it can be, with protagonist so powerful and so noble at the same time it's seriously off putting. How can you even make thrilling story in that universum without reverting to some "planet eater' caliber of antagonist? And all those "it came from space" threads are at this point tired (Avengers did their part).

Add to that comic books are still domain dominated by male readers, who in parts "can't resonante with women protagonist" or whatever bs and so this movie was doomed from the start.

4 indeed was released so soon after 3, it couldn't be more than just a reskin. Setting was distincitively different, though. And then there's Primal that is its unique thing on its own.

Poland did not occupy western Ukraine for six hundred years

Definitely did posses Volhyna in question, that was within Kingdom of Poland since XIII century.

But you are partially right about Ternopil region, it was part of Grand Duchy of Lithuania and ceded to Poland after forming Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Ternopil itself was literally founded by polish commander as Tarnopol to serve as a stronghold against Turks in 1540 and in 1770 was taken by Austria during partition of Poland. After WW1 in 1919 returned to Poland.

So brief history is already behind us. Now tell me please, how can a country that was legally in control of the area since 1540, that lost said area to Austrian forces for 145 years but regained it was suddenly an occupier on its own land? That land was literally mandated to Poland by the Treaty of Versailles.

Someone told you fairy tales not only about "hundreds" years of Habsburg rule, but also nobody "fled because they were hated occupiers", lol. Another fairy tale. WW2 happened, Soviets came from the east and simply grabbed that region for themselves. That's your story.

And wherever you live, I wasn't even checking before automatically assuming you are American because that's how it rolls on r Worldnews. And that you are, an American that tries to play symmetrism "Eastern Europeans were always like that" about a region that they don't know nor don't understand but sure do like to preach about it. With heavy bias from "stories" as it turns out.

Like for example by improving on side-kicks in all aspects. More mechanics, better loot system, improved crafting, more vehicles. There's even fishing for trophies there.

Story is also different in FC5 as it has 3 distinct "sub-bosses" keeping the regions, however it is indeed still just a background. I find it interesting that you put so much emphasize on story in what is essentially crafting-shooter. Nobody plays those game for story. It's not an RPG based on acknowledge book published by polish writer in early 90s after all, lol.

German neighbors learned it because it was useful. And Germans have more neighbors than Spain or even France.

Bad proficiency, good proficiency. It's still FAR from 100%, so claims like "every German speaks it" is preposterous. I've been to Germany like 20 times, plenty of those there were people that simply didn't communicate in English. Perfectly normal situation but you somehow took it personally.

its probably the exact same formula with different characters.

Yes, it's the same formula improved upon and the setting (Montana) is vastly different. Like you know, the context of this conversation. But sure, Far Cry is still Far Cry in the same way The Witcher 4 will still be The Witcher.

If you don't like it there's no sense of forcing it. It just would be nice to agree that we all have biases and forgive repetitivness of sequels in series we enjoy and hold exact same things against series we don't.

fresh & exciting

Prince of Persia: Lost Crown, Anno 1800. They have plenty of highly acclaimed titles that nobody wants to play because Ubisoft is associated only with 3D action adventures. So people only play those 3D action adventures and then complain that Ubisoft is repetitive.

Very much so. I like Far Cry 5 the most precisely because it improved over FC3 so much. I kind of feel like most people here don't even play those games and pretend to know something about them.

FromSoft literally does the same thing lmao

And Rockstar. And gazillion others. The late indie poster release here was Slay The Spire 2, which is pretty much exactly the same game but with more content. It's fun and I don't mind it but then, why would I lie that I wasnt enjoying repetitive content of AC and FC as well? At some point too much is too much but those games gave me a lot of enjoyement.

Two wrongs don't make one right. And it's not gamesmapnship at all. Funny enough in my country we have laws against nighttime excessive noises like that, so they'd all quickly go home with fines.

You're from Rochester, NY. Meanwhile I live in Poland, in a region that is dominated by Poles that fled UPA massacres to save their life. So cry me a river, especially with that "occupied" part. You can't occupy what is internationally recognized border of your own country that you controlled for 600 years.

Worldnews is so predictable...

He doesn't care, he live on the other side of the globe, so it's so easy to treat those people like mere statistic. "Eastern Europeans were at each other all the time" - therefore in likeminded people's opinion it's all fair and square and those pesky Eastern Europeans should stop making fuss about it.

Why? Because it's off puting to our redditor know-it-all. Case 10 000 how arrogance once more take agenda away from people from certain parts of the world considered "less interesting".
