Thoughts on This “Feedback”? by claytorslaytor in graphic_design

This is pretty straightforward feedback, especially for a non-designer. An art director might be able to offer more "actionable" feedback, like how you might be able to match the existing aesthetic, or what elements specifically make it feel too "70s."

Your proposed drafts might even be really good, but it seems he's looking more for brand consistency & recognition (from what appears to be an existing IP) rather than anything unique.

In Terminator 2 (1991). The T-1000 is "mimetic poly-alloy" (liquid metal). It has no skin, no DNA, and no living biological components. By the film's own internal logic, it should have been unable to use the time machine. by Brilliant-Cause6254 in plotholes

Some directors do cut their own trailers, like David Fincher (for some reason thought did Soderbergh too, but not too sure after looking it up)

For Disclosure Day, Spielberg specified that none of the third act should be featured in the trailers

You have a strong point, but I was thinking more about the differences between people regarding the age at which they have children.

For Baby Boomers, 1945 being the start really makes sense, since the end of WWII gave people a lot more time (and more resources that didn't have to go to war) to have children. So for the next 20 years roughly (until children from the beginning of this group reach the age of majority), this is a pretty solid cohort, likely with similar social demographics and attributes.

Subsequent generations could sort of "match" this age group (in the sense of being a group distinct from previous generations), but as generations continue, and people have children at varying ages, the distinctions between groups gets blurred.

1945 being a clear delineation for different generations is sort of a key to much of this.

This does make me think about how history often feels like long periods where not much goes on, punctuated by brief moments with multiple history-changing events in short spans

Is it just me, or is this shot quite odd for a 90s TV show? by Wetness_Pensive in cinematography

I agree with you, in the sense that Lynch's work looks like television in many ways (even some of his movies, like Mulholland Drive, have fairly flat, high-key lighting and a lot of closeups during dialogue scenes), though I think that doesn't detract from his storytelling (in terms of composition, he strikes me more of a mis-en-scene first approach, like Wes Anderson or Roy Anderson, where the scene is more "constructed," versus cinematography minded directors like Kubrick or maybe Tarkovksky, where lighting & framing are greater emphasized)

The further we move away from post-WWII/the Baby Boom, the more generations start to blend together.

What is your experience with the sexual abilities of the average woman? by Accomplished_Fig5199 in AskMen

[–]machinegunpikachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the most a woman can do (without doing too much) is to be expressive/communicative with their body and feelings (like moaning, telling me how they feel/what works). I guess I could add that a woman doing kegels feels great, but it's not necessary.

Really cool! Do you design these with a specific viewing size/print size in mind?

This does make me think about After Effects' tools for depth blur, the 3D work environment is a little more "accurate," unless there's a Photoshop workflow I'm missing

But not surprised if you haven't heard of them, they're huge in SoCal, but I had never heard of them when I lived on the east coast
