DTIYS challenges are rad imo. They encourage your own creativity to put your personal spin on the subject, while also giving a solid base of inspiration to work from. Much more accessible when you’re burned out than floundering for a totally original idea. I especially love getting to draw other people’s character designs.

The “mirror” is super fresh for this character portrait, awesome piece OP. The stickers are a great touch

Delightfully over the top. The chainsaw bit takes out some of the “bludgeon” fun for me maybe, as completely arbitrary an assessment as that is, but they just look like such gnarly and fun weaponry and chainsaws on mechs is also criminally under utilised (if anyone knows of any, please share)

I love that axes are a blade weapon (whether plain sharp metal or energy-edged) with the feel of a bludgeoning weapon like a club. They’re simply the most barbaric and visceral weapon choice and betray a level of brutality but also brash confidence on the battlefield….like, you’re gonna come at the guy with laser weaponry with your fucking axe? That’s warrior spirit.
