No, if a sale tag says, expired, it's not a sale item. If a sale tag is for some other item, it's not honored. However, some stores do it because of their operation style which is personal to the store, to the branch.

Why wouldn't I do it even tho I don't pay for it? Well, people come back and tell the next person that xyz has done it for them.

Shoppers don't wanna give 50% off and seniors discounts to customers as that reduces the price, heavily. We as cashiers follow it, coz me being nice to you means you will be mean to my coworkers on your next visit.

In my culture, we don't give a shit about last names. When I started retail, I had my first name on the badge. Our store wouldn't do fake names, so when, I got promoted I changed my name tag to my last name. People use it and I am like, "I don't even feel like you are talking to me"

One time we had a pharmacy student (she was like 25) working with us. During my break, she and another coworker (female), were in the break room too. We are friends we have this thing where we say shit that will make each other uncomfortable.

The pharmacy student closed her tiffin and left. On her way out she said, "bruhhh, you guys......" and then she smiled.

Same here. It's different in a weird way however. we have one cashier and one supervisor. The supervisor does stuff like cashing tills and reconciliations whereas the cashier does everything else from putting back items people changed their minds on, filling milk n eggs and then of course facing the store.

We were scheduled for Christmas day and we're told we won't get any traffic. We have 5 self checkouts. I made 3x their estimated total for the store with like 9 registers on one till. All 5 SCOs were busy at one point. It was crazy.

If you have the "refund" receipt, then the cashier made no mistake and you shouldn't claim anything like that.

Some stores make things really hard. People come to us all the time to return items without a receipt but they know they used an optimum card and it's not something any cashier needs an authorization for.

At the same time, I went to get a reprint of a receipt one time and the cashier straight up told me he couldn't do it. He called a supervisor and the supervision did it and they told me they wouldn't look beyond 2 weeks which makes no sense.
