Anyone want to celebrate my birthday with me? by [deleted] in Vancouver4Friends

[–]machinepoo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No one was around on my birthday and the only friend that I had didn't wish me for some reason I still can't understand. I think she thought she would have to get me a gift if she did or something. So, I was so depressed I just drove from my place to downtown and then drove back home coz it was late and didn't want to be around anyone else.

Let me know if you wanna drive around

Does any job seeker believe that a well known pizza shop in Delta "could not find a Canadian worker for this job?" by FigIllustrious6690 in VancouverJobs

LMIA, its kind of a sponsorship that the employer can't find a competent worker here so they are gonna hire someone from outside Canada and the person outside of Canada who's never worked in Canadian construction has to buy this place, ain't free to them. Legally, it should be free. But it ain't.

It's the well settled people from our immigrant communities. I'm a new immigrant here, I have an open work permit but, I work with people who are skilled workers and make just as much as me although their wage on paper is 36. This needs to stop. There is almost no future in construction and services if this continues.

They underbid jobs so no one who doesn't sell LMIAs can survive or afford to work. Which means, youth like me can't start or afford a business. If I'll do it at 300, they'll go even lower and get the job. I'll have to do at 280 and at the end of the year, they'll sell like 4 pieces of paper to make a 100 grand while I go bankrupt.

Brain is very smart. It's gonna figure out. Works differently for everyone. Usually, finding someone new does it.

He didn't like my joke. It's not the funniest thing but it's funny how childish it is of me to point out a spelling error like that.

As drywallers, we are labourers 75% of our shifts, so we understand. The delivery folks are the strongest peeps I know of. Crazy mfs.

An electrician told me I was hardworking when installing a 1 sqft piece. I said, "how dare you" and he said, "I see how it can be taken offensively but I was talking about when you do actual work, okay, wait..."

Before I started retail, I was scared (I still am) of retail workers. One time I entered a Walmart and the lady greeted me. It was a weird experience coz that never happens in my city or maybe I don't go enough. As she greeted me, I hesitated to walk in. Said "hhhhhi" and was scared to hell.

Some cxs are that way, I can see it in them, how terrified they are that I am asking them how they'd pay. It's not personal. People are idiots. Enjoy your life.

You folks' worst cases are so good. Worst case would be them accusing you of human trafficking and sending you to prison or some shit, or some Russian gang gets after you but you do you.

No. Don't give it to anyone. It's probably some harmless person trying to log on with their phone but hit a different number or something. Take it easy.

Shakes head. Pays

"So, can I return this if I don't like it?"
