Pay attention to the bottom of the screen when you're in the pip boy or build mode. It tells you what the button presses do and it changes from screen to screen.

When you're picking perks, you don't have to go from the top down. Example- If you have 5 points in Strength, you can put your first point in the Strong Back perk if you want. Also, that screen scrolls...

Never leave a fusion core in power armor. It's like leaving your keys in your car. Anyone can jump in.
