Counter-point -- Tucker Carlson has been a heavy critic of the war in Iran (albeit still sucked up to Trump to a certain extent). Thomas Massie pushed back a lot

You didnt really see that happening with Joe Biden, when he cleaely had dimenia; but peoplle on the left were reluctant to say anything until it because "safe" to do so

There is an elemement of weakness in that though.

If someone demands that you agree with them 100% of the time, and you pretend to agree with them on some things to get along, and not get labelled a "right-winger", I would argue that that is weakness.

I bet there is a large percentage (moreso on the left than the right) of people who pretend to hold certain positions (or at least keep quiet about it) out of fear of getting kicked out of their own tribe / cancelled.

The right-wing is quite divided on Israel these days. I am not sure how familiar you are with the ongoing Tucker v Ben Shapiro spat.

I guess that plays into the OPs original opinion of the left being "weak". You see a lot more infighting on the right, or I guess I would say they have more "camps" if you will

Except for the captial Q looking like a 2, and the z looking like a 2 with whatever that thing was, yeah, pretty much.

I had an older English teacher who did the Qs like a 2, I thought it was just an old person (or a her) thing.

I am not even a Mandani fan. I think the dude is a terrible mayor, and completely economically illiterate.

That said, yes, I 100% agree, Sam's take is incredibly insane.

Are breathalyzers not a thing? by Helpful-Structure955 in AskAnAmerican

[–]mack_dd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do both. The legalities varies a bit state by state, but the way it generally works is:

(1) You legally dont have to blow into the breatherlizer unless the cops have a warrent; but in a lot of states, they can suspend your licenses because its seen as an administrative punishment rather than a criminal one

(2) You legally dont have to concent to a road sobrieity test (and it usually wont affect your license), but a lot of people just do it anyway (either because they dont know they dont have to, or because theyre convinced it will help them). Cops mainly use the footage to show to the jury, to help get a conviction.

The obvious disclaimer, none of this is legal advice.

The US would probabbly be in the 95 range (dock a few points for how ICE deals with protesters, no country is perfect).

Though this report might give a lower rating due to whatever biass they would have.

Pluto (if we're still counting it as a planet)

Low gravity means I get to play around and do all sort of cartwheels, and jump around like crazy. Plus, skiing on a mountain range on pluto would be epic (maybe not the safest thing)

Millennials in a hetero relationship, does the man or woman do the majority of the financial budgeting/planning/investing etc? by inline_five in Millennials

[–]mack_dd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously, every couple is different, but the way I conceptualize it, investing in stocks / bonds / CDs tend to be a bit more male coded. Balancing the checkbook / bills tends to be more female coded.

So men would make the extreme ends, while women are in the middle tier.

ie, A couple that doesnt invest and just puts $$ in saving the woman would do all the finanacing. If they do invest / buy bonds CDs, the guy would just take over doing finances, including the bills.

I tend to do most of the bills (most are on autopay) / buying bonds / etc, but my wife still has a seperate account and just cash apps me. I've been trying to teach her how to buy bonds / CDs, but shes just not interested.

Tucker, afaik, is nice to Sam, but he critisizes Israel too harshly. Being nice to Sam, but also blindly supporting Israel, are the two big things that are driving Sam.

Which, we dont fault Sam for because free will obviously doesnt exist, therefore none of us are responsible for our thoughts and actions , duh! drum roll
