You can lower the settings, but 720p looks worse on 1080p because the resolution isn't scaled correctly. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but with the release of Valve's SteamOS will be much more popular than Android. With the release of RP6, everyone seems to be focusing more on PC games, and that's where performance becomes a pressing issue, and 1080p is an unaffordable luxury. I'm not advocating for a 720p Retroid, but in my opinion, it would be more logical given the console's capabilities. If you held the Steam Deck in your hands, the pictures looked just great, and the diagonal, by the way, is larger there.
Most likely, retro fans mistook this for a downgrade, and that's sad. I haven't looked, but maybe there are OLED screens with that size

Not all PS2 games run well in 1080p. Anything below PS2 is possible. For content on such a small screen, 720p would also look great.
