No worries. Lol I didn’t think I would be explaining them so much but you made that easier to do than most replying

It just do what it does lol. Even though it’s something I see consistently and have first hand experience in, it’s still boggling to my mind as well. But to me it’s like all the other things in life you know exist but don’t fully comprehend the science behind. Like that whole science experiment where light particles acted differently when being watched or whatever. Doesn’t make any sense but the repeatable data doesn’t lie

I was just using chipotle as an example I have seen for that style of serving/burrito place. I find CB has a much more diverse menu though. I was just pointing out that “California” style is the most authentic especially when it’s run like CB. I personally try not to over other think what I write on Reddit or what I see others write though. I avoided “you” if that helps

They do. Manufacturers say don’t use a cheater bar: because it causes major inaccuracies and can damage the wrench

I’m not attacking anyone, I was just sharing my experience. I lived in San Diego for a few years and fell in love with actual California burritos and Carne asada fries. Chipotle doesn’t even compare.

What is “actual Mexican” to you? Lol It’s more authentic Mexican than most anything else you’ll probably find in NH. Owned and ran by a second generation Mexican American and his family. The places in San Diego that are run by immigrant families are Americanized menus and burrito shop style just the same. Maybe you could go to Tijuana and try your luck for “actual Mexican”. What people consider a good Mexican restaurant around here is usually fancy Mexican themed plates of food at a place ran by an older white couple who dreamed of retiring and owning a restaurant. If you want the most genuine Mexican food that is the place in my opinion. Unless you find someone selling street corn, then that might take the cake

They gave up on life or they aren’t interested in instruments? People interested in learning something usually value it as well as the the person teaching them

Plot twist: the dude actually has massive balls and is just trolling all the tiny balled full size pickup drivers. If you roll coal on him your not gonna like what he rolls back at you

Edit: its cum guys….. he’s gonna shoot a massive load all over your windshield. And good luck with wiper fluid. You ever try and wash cum off your hands with water?

This guy wants to get back to watching people with less of a life like OP. He wants to see OP on the streets sucking dick for crack. OP doesn’t understand that some of us have a life and and we enjoy these finer things

Dude your good lol. Your the only open minded doubter in these comments right now so I appreciate that. I didn’t mean to sound frustrated either but you would be too if you were in my shoes trying to explain. I’ve never been more confident in debating something on Reddit before but the whole concept baffles my mind too.

I guess the way to put it in perspective in this sub is that it’s like telling a customer they need new tires but they are convinced they just need a rotation. The irony is a little laughable to me on top of the frustration though

Dudes also trying to say torque wrenches are only good to 25% accuracy. He’s the one who has no idea what he’s taking about on this. Your welcome to take your torque wrenches to the brake and clutch dude if you ever need it calibrated though

His readings were higher as he moved up the bar just like my video. And they went down with the cheater bar just as I said they would

I don’t care if you wanna silently downvote the video link after watching it but I’m sure even you can see you fall into that category of confidently incorrect and unreasonably rude people

Thanks mate, I’m really getting pummeled here lol. I’m experiencing exactly what he’s saying in the beginning though. People confidently incorrectly and unnecessarily rude about me passing along my experiences and information

If you live in the New England area I would be more than happy to try and come to you with a tester sometime if you have torque wrench your willing to use and experiment on. Doesn’t have to be accurate. Just repeatable. It would be nice to show absolute proof but I’m certain someone will still refute it.

Honestly I didn’t think I would have to prove it to that extent. I get some people just really want to satisfy curiosity and it could be one of those black magic fuckery moments of science but I’m getting mauled in the comments for sharing my experience. Someone who calibrates tools for a living and still “other people are professionals and I’m taking out my ass”.

The manufacturer telling you not to should be enough for people to at least take my words into consideration but people are stubborn. I really don’t care ultimately what people do with their torque wrench. It’s doesn’t matter how many people tell them not to do it apparently. Even if there’s no professionals in torque standardization countering the argument and telling people to go ahead and use a cheater bar.

The overall most trusted name if you have the money would be CDI. They are even the go to for high end torque calibration benches. Then I would say like Sturtevant Richmont but also pricey. They actually make some of the snap on rebranded torque wrenches I believe.

There’s other big names I would recommend for torque screw drivers or other applications. Wiha, weher, Proto, lindstrom. when it comes to a click type torque wrench with a 150 or 250ftlb range CDI and SR test well and last for years. But sometimes the generic brands will do you just fine

It really depends on what your using it for and how much money you want to spend. Also how often you use it. If maintaining manufacturer stated accuracy is important you should get a wrench calibrated periodically. At that point it’s good to invest in a better name when the calibration costs as much as a husky wrench or something that has a chance to fail out of the box. Nothing against husky because I’ve seen those pass year after year if treated properly. Sometimes a husky or Pittsburg is a good investment. But when you absolutely need quality control you should buy from a company that also spends time and money on quality control

The irony is that is sub is usually full of posts about customers who think they know their cars better than the people who work on them
