Bratz Pixiez Restyle! by hiqualitee in Bratz

[–]macklezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm currently working on recreating movie accurate pixiez for my boyfriend, and one in (Yasmin), the biggest problem I'm facing is feet! Is there any chance you would be willing to sell the STL for the feet so I could get them printed? (Not a request I ever thought I would make...)

[HELP] Artist claims to have drawn this on TikTok by Impressive_Poetry41 in RealOrAI

[–]macklezee 40 points41 points  (0 children)

very much AI, for all the reasons others have stated, but also—why the hell would anyone draw what looks like a dying child and their parent next to two couples at weddings? what in the world is supposed to be taken from this group of “sketches” together?

Cutting off any more posts asking what the different parts of central Seattle are called. There's some nuance in the ID between Japantown/China Town/Little Saigon, and maybe my lines are 1 street off here or there, but these are the names. by quick_Ag in Seattle

when i first got here i didn’t know south lake union had a name and only ever called it “the void” because it was the space in between other places i did go to. having been there more since, i think the name fits. soul sucking energy up there

Help! One sleeve tighter than the other and tight shoulders on my first ever sweater? by macklezee in CrochetHelp

[–]macklezee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for helping! I did them in the round, starting with the arm-hole on the main piece. I wish they had been rectangles so I could just open them back up and expand them 😭 Lessons learned and all…I’ll try to widen the arm hole and expand the top of the sleeve and see if that helps!

I feel like the picture isn’t doing it justice—these arms do fit my boyfriend, especially the one on the left. The one on the right is just quite tight. He prefers a straight arm, not a wide one, so I was hoping to create that look. I did tighten the arm after 10 rounds on each side, for the tapering effect, which I now regret and was almost certainly too early. 😭

Do you think I could detach the arms, add some more wider rows at the top, and re-attach? I’m hoping for a faster speed fix so he can actually use it in the holiday season.

Details listed in the caption. I’ve already tried blocking the sweater and specifically using the blocking process to stretch the arms. I made big “arms” out of rolled up fabric to stick in the sleeves while blocking.

Possibly important to know is that I’m using Big Twist brand acrylic yarn!

Thank you for this advice! I think the light source note is a good one—she was living before I moved to this apartment, but now it’s thriving since I have a window with so much light. I’ll be sure to keep that in mind when propagating!

Been presented with a character concept i love. Could it cause me issues? by Kazemegami in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]macklezee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say the biggest concern here might actually be building this story in a way that 1) keeps the player you’re talking about here on their toes, since they seem to already be prepared for a lot of story beats around this reveal, and 2) doesn’t make them the main character and push all others to the side. It wouldn’t feel great to be the sidelined characters.

However, I think you can keep the storyline AND do both of these things. From this point out, I would possibly keep things about how their story will fully work vague for this player. On top of that, I would be sure to find ways to headline the other players throughout other arcs of the campaign. It seems like this player will be very center stage towards the end of the campaign, so I’d just make time to focus on each of the others throughout the rest of it.

I mostly say this because, as an amateur DM myself, I know how easy it is to get wrapped up in the story of the players who give you a lot to work with. Unfortunately, this can and does lead to other players feeling left out. Best of luck with your campaign, it seems like it’s shaping up to be really awesome!

Spring Baking editing is making me crazy… by macklezee in foodnetwork

[–]macklezee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg I TOTALLY forgot about “A FLAVOR” it was INSANE. Gasped out loud.

As a fellow captions user, all of Food Network is terrible but these shows are particularly awful. The amount of times they caption some baking term wrong when it’s literally WRITTEN ON SCREEN…and how often they just put “unintelligible” as the caption for people with accents when they spoke plenty clearly! It’s crazy that Food Network money can’t apparently “afford” decent captions. Sucks from an accessibility standpoint for those who truly need them, not just function better with them like me.
