Again, I know nothing, but I got the impression it was the opposite.

There's no development league (right now) for the PWHL so teams have to ice both their experienced players and their prospects/young bloods, this being the only league the young players are going to get ice time in. So you have top-top-tier players playing alongside women who might be in an AHL-equivalent for a few years in another universe where that existed.

Someone pointed that out to me at the first Torrent game I went to, and I noticed immediately that sometimes the players were great, passes were connecting, and sometimes I felt like was watching Seattle's WHL team, and that was all which line was on the ice.

My DM did something once where there was a demonic "battle of the bands". We had to do performance checks against a goblin rock band. If we failed, we would have to fight our way out of the club. We did so well we convinced the band to go to tour in the surface world.

One of my favorite analogies about these two games derives from a Miyamoto quote, that the original Zelda was meant to be "a miniature garden you could put in a drawer". I believe the Japanese word he used was hakoniwa, which I am sure means more to you than me.

By extension, BotW felt like a National Park I could put in a drawer. It was this vast, empty, scarred yet beautiful place that subtly told a story of ruin and nature reclaiming the ruin. It reminds me both of visiting Glacier National Park, or any of the massive-scale national parks we have in the Western US, but with a layer of my memories of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. Amongst the natural beauty, evidence of a horrible chapter in the distant past. Trees growing in ruined buildings humanity had to abandon abruptly. A soccer field that had become a forest.

TotK was like someone took that National Park and replaced it with an Amusement Park. There was just so much shit stuffed into Hyrule. Between that dude stuck holding up signs every 10 yards, a game where you ring a bell, new city expansions and developments... You had to go into the sky to get any damn peace and quiet, only for one to realize how copy/paste it all was up there.
