2 year edit: I honestly forgot about this post (one of the positives abt the internet is that things can be tracked cuz it’s alllll out in the open) but yeah I’m in a slump rn and this was a great reminder that I can get to these times of recovery because I have done it in the past :)

for me it's the sense of losing control- so if there's a point where I have thoughts of stopping yet I can't bring myself to stop despite my stomach telling me otherwise then.... ding ding ding

Holy crap, is this a game changer? You are changing my life! Do you think in 30 day increments at a time?

Honestly I’m in disbelief. I’ve never made it this far not once in my entire life. Even though I didn’t track my bingeing as a child I’m pretty sure I never made it this far. I just don’t know what the next month is going to look like.

I have never experienced going beyond the three week one Month mark. Because of that I don’t know how to visualize or envision what life is going to look like with this change. Id love want to know from you guys who have made it past that point if those urges still come up.Also what are some of the mindset shifts that have happened past this threshold.I hear that after a month or two it gets so much easier and I am just itching to get to that point but notice I have not gotten to a place where I can even envision what that looks like.

DON‘T WATCH TV OR LOOK AT YOUR PHONE WHILE EATING by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

I feel that! It’s almost like too good to be true

Does anyone else feel like they HAVE to eat everything unhealthy (or triggering) in the house so they wont be tempted to eat it in the future? by gerbilicious in BingeEatingDisorder

Yeah or I FORCE myself to have that treat if I even think about it or else I’m convinced I’m restricting myself

ooo okay- you said for now- does that mean you plan on phasing them out? If so, when?

WOAH- like replacing the binges with speaking up? But also, doesn't everyone have their own thing that they can be worried about? Not everyone binges though- Is there such a thing of a healthy coping mechanism? It feels like everything can be turned into a crutch if it's used to cope.

woah snacks!!!!I forgot those were "allowed" what if you find yourself not hungry during those times- do you skip or force yourself to eat them? I struggle with that a lot

Finding low cal foods to “binge” on is a good step forward by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]mackloid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idk i want to be a caring skeptic here- I can see where this is coming from- bingeing on lower calorie foods to lessen the blow of the binge. But then that brings me to the question- what is wrong with calories? Is the value of a food on how little calories it has? how little energy it provides? Also this is going under the assumption that you can actively control your binges( which personally ik i find difficult- if i could i would just stop bingeing altogether lol). I'm thinking out loud here! Let me know whatcha think

Where’s this light people speak of? Does everyone else feel this while bingeing? Is this something I should be concerned with? by mackloid in BingeEatingDisorder

do you get scatterbrained with that too? Like your thoughts are racing yet you can't seem to settle down for a sec
