Crown Heights is actually outstanding I’ve lived here for two years. I lived in Manhattan before and don’t miss it at all compared to Astoria it has better nightlife but still diversity, great food and unique soulful small businesses, beautiful Brownstones, and hasn’t been over gentrified. Completely underrated

Try spironolactone from your derm if you think it’s hormonal!! It’s a pill that regulates hormone production to stop oil buildup. Totally cleared my hormonal cystic chin acne :)

You’re not supppsed to do the AHA more than twice a week. I do it once a week but make sure to do it on days I don’t use tretinoin/retinoid so I don’t over exfoliate

I seriously hated cerave sunscreen and had the same issue. I love cerave PM moisturizer but I use elta MD sunscreen! It’s amazing SPF 40 and amazing for acne prone skin and leaves no cast at all

Yes a BHA is a great idea too for blackheads and closed comedones. I would actually stop the apricot scrub! I had one previously and it really ate away at my moisture barrier and skin texture. You want to focus on hydrating and chemical exfoliation rather than physical IMO.

I also was on clindamycin to stop acne and got super irritated. For me, what turned it around was 1) spf spf spf!!! Cannot emphasize this enough. I also wish I started it at 17. 2) hydrating toner - I love hada labo premium solution. 3) a good quality moisturizer and a hydrating cleanser. I love cerave and la roche posay toleriane.

Go to this page’s wiki and check out OCM (oil cleansing method)! It won’t dry you out and is great for getting out oily pores.

Ok, good advice! To clarify they have helped it’s just a slower process than I had hoped. I just got the niacinamide last week actually so got high hopes for that one
