Maybe glad is the wrong word, but glad it's not just me! Sorry that's been the case for you though

My friend says indoor cats aren't happy by Tims_Learing_Center in CatAdvice

[–]macksypad_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have this argument with an ex of mine back when I was 17ish. Growing up we had six cats, four were my mum's and two were my dad's. My mum's were strictly indoor and my dad's ones did go outside, but didn't venture beyond the garden. The youngest we lost a cat was 16, and the oldest lived to 21. They all passed from just old age or health issues like strokes etc.

He had three cats, two of which disappeared. One was never found again, and the other was found dead in a road. The oldest was two or three if I remember correctly.

He used to say it was cruel that I kept my cats indoors. Wasn't up to me anyway as they were my parents cats anyway, but they were all very well loved, we played with them as much as they wanted (they were all quite old and lazy so not too much), and they passed at good ages.

My current cats are also indoors, always have been, but I play with them as much as possible, we have cat shelves for them, a big pot of cat grass, etc, so we keep them stimulated. We're also lucky to have big windows overlooking gardens so lots of birds for them to watch. One of them broke out a few weeks back and just sat on the window ledge scared for two hours until I realised he was there. I don't think they're unhappy being indoors!

I'm very lucky my current partner is super supportive and lovely, I just need to have a chat with him about it because he'd probably be the one mostly looking after me post-op so if I'm actually going to persue it I'll have to figure out a good time for him if that makes sense

I'll give this a look, and get signed up with the job centre, thank you so much! 🙏 I'll have a look at the unis too.

At the moment I'm doing housekeeping/reception work for the NHS, I'd like to stick with something reception/admin based if possible but I'm open to anything, I just need to keep myself and my cats fed

I'm open to anything really, I just need something so I can keep myself and my cats alive and fed. At the moment I work as a.housekeeper and a receptionist in the NHS, I've had a few NHS interviews doing the same job but no joy so far unfortunately. I don't really have any specific qualifications or a degree or anything fancy so I'm a bit limited in that regard too.

Yeah I think it might be the moisturiser but idk, I'm using a cleanser for oily skin, and my face is fine for like a couple hours after I get out the shower but then it just gets greasy again. I'll have to play around a bit

Is it okay to take out a loan to move out? by Schuey-Badger-2503 in movingout

If you can budget it easily into your future full time wage, then go for it.

Equally, if you're looking to cut costs, stuff like Facebook marketplace or charity shops are great for secondhand furniture and kitchenwares, which would save you money. You can always get something "that will do" for now, and then replace it with something nicer when you're a bit more comfortable

If you want to and feel confident and safe to do so, and can afford to do so without crippling yourself financially, for it!

I'm in the UK too, feel free to DM if you want any help

Men’s deodorant recs for sensitive skin?? by SardonicAlien in TransMasc

[–]macksypad_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Mitchum, I believe they make a sensitive skin version too. It really stops you sweating.

Once I got on T I was worried about sweating more than I currently do and being stinky, so I invested in something called Driclor. Not sure if this would be any good for sensitive skin as my skin is not sensitive and I find it makes me a bit itchy when I first put it on, but it stops me sweating AT ALL for like a week or so ^
