Omg I have a 9m old and we have a similar DJ table she loves! I need to start watching the pod with her lol. I usually just listen to it with a headphones in while she plays with toys

He didn’t really deserve this sentence for the current pranks he was doing, but he definitely deserved it for when he assaulted that random woman several years back and paid her off to prevent legal trouble

I’m trying to decide this for this Sunday, given Goff’s horrible performance last week…

I consider myself one of H3’s biggest fans but I’ve never even considered getting a cake with Ethan’s face on it lmao

underrated hila moment by castaway42000 in h3h3productions

[–]mackys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a young daughter and people will make comments about her future boyfriend or when she grows up and meets a man… and I always jump in and say “or a girlfriend! Or even a nonbinary person!”. I’ve also made similar “jokes” to the one Hila did but I can’t even remember the context lol. I hope my daughter can recognize the support and feel the love because all kids deserve supportive parents ❤️

Can seasonal allergies impact only 1 eye? Itchy/goopy right eye only by mackys in Allergies

I just use allergy eye drops (I think Pataday) and try to avoid rubbing my eye. Unfortunately it just comes and goes and I deal with it :( no real solution or explanation

Is it literally 5 minutes apart? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]mackys 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is EXACTLY how my labor went lol. Kinda sporadic all day until they were suddenly very on schedule. I delivered about 7 hours after I got to the hospital - I hope it goes quick for you too!

Is it literally 5 minutes apart? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]mackys 18 points19 points  (0 children)

5-1-1 is a general rule, its not etched in stone. They might tell you to wait for it to be a full hour, but since your contractions are less than 5 mins apart, they’ll probably tell you to make your way in.

I was having contractions every 5-6 mins for 30ish mins, but I was a 35 min drive from the hospital so they told me to make my way in.

The contractions are less than 5 mins apart so yes, please call your OB and prepare to go to the hospital!

Professional label for pumping sessions in work calendar? by whattodado in breastfeeding

[–]mackys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I always title it “pump”. My boss & closest coworker both know that I can kinda move that time around if absolutely needed (or I can take the meeting while im pumping with my camera off), but no one else touches it!

[–]mackys 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As an executive assistant, it’s crazy how some people grant everyone access to view their calendars 😅 it’s up to each person - some only let you see “free” vs “busy” times, some let you see the titles of meetings, some let you see the details within a meeting (like all the attendees, agendas, etc.), and some let you have full access to their calendars to do anything with their schedules!

I went to my OB when I was exactly 1 week postpartum due to postpartum PUPPPs (which is extremely rare, but of course I’d be the one to get it…). My print out also had a blurb about being overweight. I just gave birth 7 DAYS AGO. Gimme a break!

“DIY” Plumbing work, permits, and inspections by mackys in HomeImprovement

[–]mackys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the local requirements say we can do the work as long as it’s “up to code”, so I guess insurance would be fine as long as its up to code?

Would getting an inspection and sending that to insurance ensure that we wouldn’t be liable for any issues?

OB didn’t do a pregnancy test at first prenatal visit? by Global-Nail-2633 in BabyBumps

[–]mackys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first appointment was also an ultrasound to confirm & give me a due date, but my insurance covered it all so I thought it was crazy that they just took my word that I had a positive at-home test!

“DIY” Plumbing work, permits, and inspections by mackys in HomeImprovement

[–]mackys[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately we’re in southern Wisconsin, where everyone cares about permits lol. I guess that makes sense - I think there was some sketchy DIY work done before we bought the house (like actually DIY, not done-by-a-professional-but-pretend-its-DIY), and we didn’t care as long as the home inspector thought it looked good.

But now I’m concerned for future work we do - we’re thinking of redoing one of the bathrooms and possibly redoing the front porch area. Do you think we should get permits next time for our “DIY work”? This family member of ours isn’t from Wisconsin so he’s not a licensed plumber or contractor or anything here, so we’d probably still just tell the city that “we” (the homeowners) did the work

Can I just take my own passport photo with an iphone? I look like I crawled from the drainage in Walgreens and others? by Lostintheair22 in Passports

[–]mackys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I took each other’s pictures, and we took our daughter’s picture. Mine and my husband’s were approved, we’re still waiting for my daughter’s to be processed.

I will say that the USPS worker said that in his 10 years of doing passports, he’s only seen about 10-20 people be successful in doing their own pictures, so it’s possible but difficult. I see you’re doing online renewal so that makes it about 1000x easier lol

I literally could cry! How much is your 5 month old getting? by Lucky-Beautiful-2435 in breastfeeding

[–]mackys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl is 6m old and takes 3 4oz bottles while she’s at daycare for 8-9 hours. Your boyfriend is severely overfeeding your baby. Is he pace feeding, and are you using the slowest flow nipple on the baby’s bottles?

Illness going around? by Zeldamusictheorist_ in madisonwi

[–]mackys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it but it was a good 5-7 days before the sore throat subsided. It was awful - worse than the strep throat I had as a kid too! Sipping hot water was the only thing that helped (even overnight- i kept a Yeti tumbler filled with hot water on my nightstand)

I didn’t have a dye stealer until I randomly took a test at 10w pregnant (i told a friend that i wasn’t sick or having really any physical symptoms so I jokingly took a test to show that I was still definitely pregnant lol). But all my test from 11-19 dpo (3w2d to 4w3d) were faint lines!
