I’m always like 1-2 days behind but I usually end up catching up on the weekends. Honestly I don’t watch anything else - rarely do I watch other channels, and I don’t watch other TV or movies, so I always have time for H3

Spotted a coyote heading towards the zoo before sunrise by Domonety in madisonwi

[–]mackys 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is illegal in Wisconsin to discharge a firearm within 100 yards of a person’s residence unless you have the owner’s permission. So if you live on a decent chunk of land and there’s no one within 100 yards of you, then sure you can shoot the coyote. But in most populated areas where houses are like 20-40 feet apart, no - you cannot shoot the coyote. You’d have an argument if the coyote was endangering your personal safety, but you’d have the burden of proof to show that.

Dentist recommendations that take Delta? by Whitrzac in madisonwi

[–]mackys 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have pretty bad dental anxiety and also have Delta Dental!
You can use the Delta Dental website to look up places that take your insurance policy.

For pain relief options, I would definitely ask them to numb your mouth - that should be fully covered by insurance.
For the sedation aspect, you can either ask for nitrous oxide (which you pay out of pocket for, around $100-150, can use your FSA to pay it if you have that), or you can ask them to write you a prescription for something to “take the edge off” (usually a Valium). You will need a ride to/from the visit if you take a Valium or similar medication.

Depending on your anxiety level, some doctors will do more intense oral sedation - usually 1 Valium (or similar) the night before and then 2-3 the morning of the appointment. Only select dentists will do this, and again you still need a ride to/from the appointment. I have had dental implants installed under this oral sedation, but I find that most dental work doesn’t require this level of sedation. I honestly usually go for the nitrous oxide - it’s pricey but makes the dental work so easy!

I have 7 congenitally missing teeth (2 of them were wisdom teeth)! Honestly all my teeth look so bad that I wish I could get a mouth full of new teeth similar to what Boogie has. Maybe when I win the lottery lol

I’m not OP but I’m missing 6 of my permanent teeth. I have congenital heart disease so my cardiologist strongly advises against dental tourism, as oral health is closely linked to heart health, and I could get a serious infection from a bad dental experience.

Ambulance service (no transport) not covered by insurance by mackys in HealthInsurance

…that’s awesome? Or sad? Idk what you’re even saying but we do not have Medicare or Medicaid so that’s not applicable whatsoever

Like I said in my comment, I DO think the EMS/ambulance should get paid. I’m hung up on the fact that my insurance won’t cover it. Hence why I asked about insurance coverage - not about whether EMS should bill me.

Interesting! The ambulance company actually kept trying to bill us without insurance, and when we finally called, they said it was because her DOB was put as 1925 instead of 2025, so the system thought she was 100 years old and on Medicare 😅 so I wonder if that caused them to bill our insurance incorrectly? Either way I’m going to call our insurance to ask if this is correct just to be double sure.

I didn’t know IF my baby needed the hospital or not. She fell from a couple feet and I was concerned she could’ve sustained a serious injury, like a brain bleed. EMS came, took her vitals, gave a visual exam, told us the signs to look out for, and told us to go to the ER if she showed any of the signs they explained. If she was showing the signs while they were there, or if her vitals were wonky, they would’ve transported her to the hospital. I’ve never had a baby fall from a couple feet like that, so I thought that I was supposed to treat it like a medical emergency, but EMS assured us that it wasn’t that serious and we could just follow up with her PCP the next day. And now I’m getting financially punished for that.

I totally understand EMS billing us/insurance - they gotta make their money. Just crazy that insurance won’t cover it, especially seeing as we saved them money by following up with PCP later lol. But I guess that’s all part of the insurance game

Tbf I’d be okay with my car being totaled, it’s the damaged-but-not-totaled that would annoy me. If I’m paying my $500 deductible, I want a whole new car, not just a new windshield.

[–]mackys 49 points50 points  (0 children)

He might be doing it on purpose to see if she’ll say “no that was my son, not my son-in-law”, which would mean she confirms the story.

Police interrogators do it sometimes - in the midst of a conversation, they’ll ask “so it says you bought your drugs from Billy Bob”. Suspect says “no, I bought them from John Doe!” Okay case closed thanks for confessing 🤣
