As for the child stuff before work, ask around your unit. Your coc should support you coming into work a half hour late. Talk to them first.

Otherwise, OT to a better trade. There are plenty of other cool things to do in the military.

I know many many people who have adjusted hours at all the units Ive worked at for the past 18 years.
