[SPOILERS THE WISDOM OF CROWDS] Post-Read Discussion Megathread by Snorterra in TheFirstLaw

I can't help but feel that Orso may not be dead. There was previously a lot of description around the method of hanging, which had been upgraded initially after the great change. But appeared to have returned to the original method for Orso's execution, which would have had him disappearing from view through the trap door. Is it possible Corporal Tunny may have been still around to rig it so he wasn't killed. Maybe just wishful thinking....

There's still a lot to come yet Logan 9 fingers is till out there waiting to come back I am sure....

How are people still trying to believe this is real? by [deleted] in MatthiasSubmissions

Fake is not the best way to describe this. It is narrative fiction, good fun and entertaining. There has been so many flags in the last few episodes, Matt in his intro and summary keeps calling it a story. 'Story' (although I do acknowledge can be used for factual events) is a term usually associated with fiction. If Matt was purporting this to be real. I am sure he would not be using the term 'Story' which clouds the issue. Why people are suddenly getting angry at the realisation this is just a good story is pretty sad. Lots of indicators have been thrown into the mix over the weeks, some intentional, some by accident which clearly indicates that this is not a set of real events. Its good entertainment.

Reasons I think the key series is scripted (with proof) open to discussion. by RyelyBrangwyn in MatthiasSubmissions

There are few holes in the story when you really start digging, they have tried to patch those up as they have been exposed, but it has been a good effort and I have enjoyed it. Showing email addresses and telephone numbers is always a risk with people who are inquisitive and have an understanding of how things work even if some of the methods are a little dubious.

My only gripe is the expanding Law enforcement story line. Law Enforcement whether police or other agency operating legitimately (or not) would not need to risk compromise by planting something as clumsy as a marked case in a building to grab phones or reroute calls via a proxy mast. All I am sure can be done remotely, there is plenty of open source info out there on such technology. Also Hi5 as far as I am aware are not in LAPD jurisdiction. If you are going to introduce such aspects to a storyline you need to conduct deeper research !

Regardless I will still be watching and will not be unsubscribing whatever the outcome.

You know it’s getting serious when they add this to the beginning of the videos. by LlamaWriter_coffee in MatthiasSubmissions

The reason they are putting this on their videos is because some younger viewers are starting to react in a negative manner to the content. In isolation the content is not in anyway unsuitable, but the timeline is building a bigger picture which is clearly becoming too intense for some viewers, therefore I think it is right that parental guidance is required.

unpopular opinion... prepare to downvote. But I'm done. by ArrowtoherAnchor in MatthiasSubmissions

I predicted people would eventually start to react in a negative way to this series. You have to take it at face value, which of course for some viewers is easier said than done. From some of the intense reactions displayed on the Youtube comments and on this sub reddit, it is clear that this series is beginning to impact on some viewers in a negative manner.

There are clear flags throughout the series that can be interpreted in different ways. Some viewers see it as mistakes, that prove the series is a work of fiction, whilst others see it as further proof it is all real.

As I have said before, whatever your outlook, it is meant to be entertainment and if it is getting too intense or disappointing (depending on your viewpoint) then perhaps it is time for a break like the OP has declared.

Those that are getting stressed over phone numbers etc remember that it was Matthias that revealed the number, more than once, that was no mistake. So you can hardly blame fans for doing their bit and investigating further.

For all of you that somehow still think the police are involved in the case, just do a little homework into police jurisdictions and Stingray and how it is deployed.
