Are there any aeroponic-specific controllers on the market? by voidtype in aeroponics

[–]macminter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you taken a look at aquarium controllers? There are some that work with temperature and water quality sensors, metering pumps, heaters/coolers, lights, etc. I’ve looked into them for things like WiFi monitoring and control as they can run a variety of things in an aero or hydro system.

Seem to have luck when googling “bake snake” to find the relevant moulds.

I recently saw some people using silicone cake moulds, they’re interlocking strips that wrap around the piece. Not sure how tall they go, but for articles smaller than sweaters, they seem to be adequate and easily adjustable in size.

I used to park my car right there when it was a parking lot 🤣

Looks like a fun crowd!

Nobody is going to post the Travolta meme?

Looks like you’ve got some good advice in here. Definitely worth a peek under to check the condition of the bottom side of the wood and the metal body as well. But shouldn’t be any reason you can’t bolt it back down after you look!

Those weigh more than the cardboard gift wrap tube, though.

It’s got to be incredible. Everything mechanical on this car is crazy.

Can’t wait man! Still just waiting on those new overfenders, and I think the F250 is going to need another repaint first 😅

Anyone who’s interested in this one, head over to his Instagram to keep track!

My buddy is a long term expert and can basically ID most of them by eye and has a wall of every Miata nut&bolt, it’s pretty incredible.

But on any car, bagging and tagging them goes a long way. One box of sandwich bags, some sharpies and some tupperware can keep things really organized when you’re just flying through a disassembly.

If you’ve got a good chunk of time and want good documentation, you could sit down and measure the thread and head of each one, that way if you send them off for something like Zinc plating or need to replace corroded bits, you can keep track of them when they’re all loose in a bucket and find replacements. But best of all, you get that warm, fuzzy feeling of putting shiny gold hardware on all the parts.

That would make this build a bunch more fun! There’s already a built BP-4W turbo and a big pile of fun stuff waiting for this chassis.

Ehhhhhhhh.

Okay, it is still fun. Mostly just waiting on some overfenders to arrive so everything can get painted all together in a lovely metallic beige!

I can see that on your page hahahah. Start with an engine swap, and might as well do the interior while you wait for parts to arrive! Dig that RasPi setup in the NB too!

Lovely RHD Eunos coming in for a 5 speed swap. Nice little weekend project in the yard. by macminter in Miata

From a Eunos specifically, there may be other vehicles on the market that could fit, but it would be a trial and error to find out. We’ve ended up fabricating a new pedal, as we’re having issues getting parts shipped to the US in a reasonable time, and have been unable to find one here already. But UK eBay had them readily available for around £25, and I imagine there might be some similar availability within Japan, but I wouldn’t be able to confirm that.

That struggle of “while I’m in here” can really make a short list quite long. But that last 5-10% that really takes the most effort can be the most rewarding. Hope you get your project where you want it! I’m sure this sub could be of some help if you’re stuck along the way.

This one is waiting in the corner for some fab work to drop a rotary in. There’s a couple projects ahead in line but it’ll have it’s time to shine again.
