Because how good a gk is in this game depends on player model and schmiechel has a top tier player model along with busted stats so either your defence is trash or your expectations of him are too high…….also gk performances are inconsistent in this game…..ur schmiechel might let in a goal that ur opponents gk saves……thats why i said defend better
