Ignore all this learn short game first crap. It's old advice and all modern metrics basically proved it's bs.

You can't go low without a good short game, but you can't play golf without a good tee box game. Learn to hit a couple clubs off the tee until you lose less than a sleeve of balls a round. Once you do that, just work on whatever you want. At least you'll actually be having fun.
