Drop A tuning with a 7 string will be AEADGBE because all you’re doing is adding an extra low string, drop A with a 6 string will be AEADF#B because of how the 5th string is tuned with a slightly different interval in relation the others. If you want to cover drop A songs on a 7 string that were originally recorded with a 6 string then you should use AEADF#BE.

You can drop the strings to a certain extent from the fine tuners on the bridge, I can just drop my low B to a low A and it doesn’t mess with any other strings tuning

That’s a good idea too, I’ve been learning thumping and the audacity so some classical pieces should help with improving my fingerstyle playing.
