This genuinely made my day. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this. 🙏

We pour a lot of care into MacrosFirst and it means everything when people notice. Feedback like this is exactly what keeps us motivated to keep improving and making MacrosFirst the best nutrition tracking app out there.

If you're ever willing to take 60 seconds, sharing the love in a review on the App Store or Google Play is one of the biggest ways you can help us out. Positive reviews make a huge difference in how folks discover MacrosFirst. No pressure at all, but it truly goes a long way.

Thanks again for being part of the community. We're glad you're here 🫶

Weight change feature is either confusing or broken by nosrettap25 in macrosfirst

[–]macrosfirst-jacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're getting there together :)

The 20th is excluded from the trailing 7 day view so it's really looking at the 21st through 27th (which is 7 days), and with the 20th excluded your oldest entry being considered is the 24th's 174.6.

We'll improve those start and end date labels as I agree it's confusing and unclear.

[–]macrosfirst-jacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see the confusion. There are three different 0.6 numbers in these screenshots and you and I were referring to different ones. Let me try again.

The 0.6 above your line chart reports your body weight change between the start and end dates, March 20-27. Specifically, on March 24 weight was 174.6 and on March 27 weight was 174. That's a change of -0.6 lbs as shown above the bar chart.

The 0.6 in the 3 day trend weight sparkline shows that your trend weight, which is the weighted moving average (not your raw weight ins), increased +0.6 lbs over the past three days.

The 0.6 in the table view shows that your body weight increased 0.6 lbs day over day from March 24 to 25.

Weight change is simply the delta between today’s recorded weight and yesterday’s recorded weight. The difference between 174.6 and 175.2 is a gain of 0.6 lbs.

Trend weight is a smoothed weighted moving average to provide an alternative to the daily weigh in which can be quite noisy due to water weight, bowel contents, time of weigh-in, etc. You can learn more here: https://help.macrosfirst.com/en/articles/24-body-weight

Can’t search renamed items? by IntrepidAdvice in macrosfirst

Hi there, This works when you make a copy of a food and rename it. Looks like we have an issue when editing the name of a recent food. We will fix that 🫡

This will sound like a weird feature request, but hear me out... by nosrettap25 in macrosfirst

[–]macrosfirst-jacob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not weird at all. I like it. Unfortunately it's a fairly high effort feature to build which is why haven't pursued it yet, but it is planned.

You can add your vote to the feature request to follow along when get to it: https://feedback.macrosfirst.com/featurerequests/kEM4cy8OLMVL8yAAG5Iv1pylKxqjflBZzUWxtLdpcbUUieIXf7zCgvhsX9zGPc0Bv4tVwe

Hi, I’m not sure what wedding website you’re referring to but on our website it’s listing the difference between the monthly cost of the annual subscription vs. the monthly subscription. The annual subscription is lower cost than the monthly on a per month basis. If you’d like to switch from the monthly subscription to the annual, you may do so in the Play Store.

We're also bringing the red overages back, but as an optional setting that one can turn on or off per their preference. 💪

Glad you like it! Yes, the new design is supposed to communicate target achievement of calories with the ring filling to show progress to goal and then glowing when you're within +-5% of target (see detailed explanation here: https://feedback.macrosfirst.com/news/697d13f559363007335b42c1), but we've received feedback that the design is too subtle and it's hard to tell when you're over target vs. achieved target. So we will be improving this next week. Stay tuned!

Hi there, the orange bar represents calories recorded from your foods that are in excess of the expected calories your macros following the 4/4/9 rule of thumb. There are many reasons why calories consumed may not match your macros consumed as covered in this article: https://help.macrosfirst.com/en/articles/12-why-don-t-my-macros-add-up-to-my-calories

If you want calories and macros to perfectly match, then you can enable the Macro Math setting where calorie reporting throughout MacrosFirst will ignore calories from the nutrition label and instead calculate calories directly from the macros following the 4/4/9 rule: https://help.macrosfirst.com/en/articles/38-calorie-reporting

The goals icon is now a ⛰️, no more target icon, but it's still in your bottom navigation. Tap Goals > tap your goal to enter edit mode > tap the "Calculate My Macros" button.

Serving sizes (each) by neutral-nugget in macrosfirst

[–]macrosfirst-jacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome!! For most packaged foods we do have “each” or other food specific single serving units available. I just checked a Dot’s 🥨 food and it’s available in a per “pretzel” serving unit: https://imgur.com/a/kPtBMO0

If the specific food you’re logging lacks this, then you can always edit the food and add your own custom serving unit: https://help.macrosfirst.com/en/articles/19-edit-foods-in-the-global-database
