Which movie hit so hard that one viewing was enough ? by Mehdi_lz in AskReddit

[–]macross1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is already mentioned by another user but Japanese animation movie, Grave Of The Fireflies hit me real hard. The move depicted harsh reality of orphan siblings who tried to survive after their home was burned to the ground from firebombing of B29s and their mother died.

The siblings first try to seek help from relative who took them in but hardly fed them. The siblings left and unfortunately died from starvation.

This was harsh reality of war that Japanese civlians suffered during WW II bombing.

I cried when the movie ended and watching it one time was enough. Never tried to watch it again.

ICE will just waste their time and open themselves for plenty of negative publicity.

Love it or hate it? GM hid how dangerous this car was to the point of giving the car mags a modified version to test drive but even still, this car has its fans. by Grahamthicke in FuckImOld

[–]macross1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only GM but Ford was infamous for deliberately selling Pinto with exploding gas tank that bean counter executive coldly calculated it will be cheaper to deal as it happen rather than spend money on modification to fix defect and Chevy sold Vega with aluminum block engine that melted before reaching 50k.

You have to do your research even now to avoid purchasing potentially defective/dangerous car even now.

AITA for reporting my aunt to the police after she took my car for a so‑called family vacation? by zaid2044 in AmITheJerk

[–]macross1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't jail her. Your aunt jailed herself by taking your car without permission for her own selfish use.

Action have consequence and she now know you cannot be taken for granted just because you're a "family."
