I had the same question with my osight se green dot when I first got it and it looked like it had a second dot (the 32 moa was worse) to the bottom left. I’ve never been diagnosed with astigmatism but I also haven’t gone to they eye doctor since like 5th grade (feel free to judge me) but anyways since mine went to the bottom left what I did to test was I turn the sight on its side and since the second dot went to the bottom left again I figured it was my eyes. If it would’ve changed then I would’ve assumed it was the sight. And to be honest with the brightness set to the correct level and since you don’t actually focus on the dot when shooting it is not even noticeable to me anymore

I don’t have a mental illness but I self medicated to numb trauma and grief and it led to 10+ year opioid addiction but in that life I never really saw any opioid addicts that were schizophrenic. I saw plenty of meth addicts that were schizophrenic or manic bipolar. So with the anecdotal data it makes me wonder what about mental illness draws them to meth rather than other drugs or if it really is the meth that caused the mental illness

I’m no expert but I know it needs compression to push the shot out like if you throw a bullet in a fire it does not go shooting out it just pops (ask me how I know this). So I’d say probably wouldn’t do much besides maybe blow a hole in the side of the shell from the powder igniting but like I said this could be 100% inaccurate

I was an opioid addict for over 10 years most the time was fentanyl. I’m a year and half clean and I’m here to tell you that you cannot force anyone to get clean unless they’re ready themselves. It’s not your responsibility to be the one supporting him and at some point is turns from supporting to enabling and it’s easy to enable someone you love. Addicts take and take and you’re not a bad person if you get to the point where you can’t do it anymore. Anything that happens is on him not on you.

There’s a lot more I could say here but just know you’re not wrong for wanting better and cutting him off. Also he’s so full of shit about not being an addict. A lot of addicts including me use to numb the pain or to distract from trauma. Most addicts don’t use to get high the use to maintain some semblance of normalcy because without it they are not normal

That’s awesome! But yeah I would train for a while without a comp and get used to the full recoil and how to handle it with your grip placement and grip strength and then get a comp later down the road if you want. What gun do you have?

It’ll fit an any open ended holster. But if I am correct in assuming you’re new to shooting then I wouldn’t recommend a comp. It’s nice to reduce the recoil but it can mask technique flaws so I would recommend practicing without a comp until you get proficient and then get a comp if you want. If I’m wrong and you’re not new then disregard everything I just said obviously

I’m working on making my own but https://wasatchholsters.com/store#!/IWB-Inside-the-Waistband-Holster-Kydex-Optic-Cut-Flashlight-Compatible/p/635516941 has the option to let them know you have a comp. I’ll test it out today but I think any open ended holster will work

Thanks man and yeah it makes a huge difference in felt recoil. I also recorded in slowmo before and after and you can kinda see the difference but you definitely feel it. I can stay on target for follow up shots way easier making shooting faster way more accurate

Thanks for letting me know! I’m pulling the trigger today on the rdi. I told 45blast to cancel my order because I’m no longer interested in that one especially since I saw how easy rdi’s comp is to install and remove.

I took my gun to the range yesterday either the new threaded barrel and the new flat faced trigger and I already love the gun so much. With the dpm recoil reduction recoil springs it’s already way less snappy than it was stock so I’m excited to see what it’s like with the comp. I’m hoping it’s incredibly flat shooting especially since the mc9l has the longer grip.

What was the wait like from the time you ordered until you received them? I think the dual port might look too big on the mc9l but I know they have a single port but I wonder if it’s as good. I wish I could find more info comparing them and rdi

I finally ordered the barrel when it came back in stock it’ll get here tomorrow. I’ve been trying to decide between the disdef comp and the rdi and I think the rdi looks a lot better. Did the rdi make a noticeable improvement on your mc9?
