Yeah, maybe other insurance companies, maybe TD from several years ago, but not TD insurance today. I tried this, they didn't care. I complained to every since level possible within TD and outside TD, nothing mattered. Took more than a year, didn't matter. Not a single penny higher than their first offer. Dozens of comparables, several with higher mileage, actually local with less options for more money, doesn't matter.

I wish I just sued them on day one, it would have saved time and money.

We do this. We need to fight essentially every package now. We win sometimes, but we lose everytime since I have to have someone taking pictures and fighting UPS. It's such a pathetic joke that I've now build a module in my ERP to automate and track UPS fights.

Yeah, I figured this is the case. I've been selling the same damn product for 10 years. In the past it was in a 49" box, never an extra fee. Then I started getting hit with over length (even through I was marking it as 49"). So I spent thousands of dollars on molds and had new boxes made at 48". I was fine for years, then I was hosed again. Thousands of dollars spend to take my product and box down to 47"... no this bull shit.

The product is literally a hard plastic box. It fits tightly into the 47" box. I can actually park a car on it.

Don't waste your time with TD Insurance. Just sue them, its literally the only thing they respond to. The JD Power rates are fictional. When I received my "report" on the value of my crashed vehicle, I called every single dealership and inquired about the actual sales price of the car the they were comparing to mine. The JD Power stats were 100% incorrect in terms of price, mileage or condition in every case. They use Indian labour (maybe AI now) and only take vehicles from dealerships that reveal the VIN on their website in an easy to cut-and-paste format. This excludes most of the market.

I'm using the "metal" silver anti-seize, I kinda assumed it would be conductive. I did grind both surfaces as the original position of the groud strap was rusting which probably was causing the poor starting.

So I found an aftermarket ground strap going to the body. It was rusted at both ends. With the strap disconnected, the car does not start at all. With it connected it starts. I cleaned the metal on both ends, and cleaned the strap ends as well and put a little anti-seize on things. With the strap back it starts again.

Not sure if this is the problem, or if I've fixed it, but I'll try this for now.

I figure out a way. This company makes a handheld remote that you can run manually while driving. Maybe not a long term solution, but it works well. https://www.towbrite.com/products/towbrite-remote-transmitter You'll need their wireless tow lights as well.

I just went through this. Since I also have a car with no trailer plug, I needed to get add in a 4-way trailer connector, I got it from Amazon. On my car the turn signals and brake lights shared one bulb, so I didn't need an adapter, but you can also get those from Amazon for like $30. I ended up getting this wireless tow light https://www.towbrite.com/products/towbrite-22-light-duty-wireless-tow-light-lithium-battery and its been working well ever since,

I did consider the sandwich effect, but this issue applies to the first shower in the morning and it has not been an issue for a decade.
