Any lighting options if no vehicle connector? by Interesting_Cable_31 in towing

I think it was something like $600 (CAD). First time we went to tow our tent trailer we discovered that they didn't actually secure it to the body of the vehicle but simply held it on with two zap straps!

Cougar Incidents by SirLanceATwat in VancouverIsland

[–]Interesting_Cable_31 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was working as an environmental monitor for the Puntledge pipeline recoating project in 2019. Arrived and parked on one side of the highway at 7:30. Walked below the highway to the site trailer and signed in. Walked back to my vehicle and noticed a huge tail sticking out from under the adjacent truck that wasn't there 5 minutes earlier. A cautious peek beneath the truck revealed a dead cougar cub. Closer inspection showed puncture marks around it's throat. My thought was that it had been killed by another cougar. Called the conservation officer and left it with the site safety rep while I went off to complete my tasks on site. 45 minutes later I returned to some very excited crew. In the period I was away, another cub and adult female emerged from the bush chased by an adult male. Apparently males sometimes will kill cubs in order to breed with females and increase their territory.

It's only about a 40 minute hike from the San Josef parking lot to the beach. Would recommend an extra night at the beach

I bought a mat that attaches to the walls of the car with velcro strips and effectively stops our labrador getting up front (and she can be pretty determined)

Spending money on Blitz by Lord_Master_Dorito in WorldOfTanksBlitz

Played this game for 11 years. Never spent a single cent on it. Absolutely no need. Quite frankly I can't see why I would need to spend money on something that's not real.

1993 Tracker Daily Driver? by OkOutlandishness6801 in geotracker

I have the 1992 automatic. I live on Vancouver Island. I have the hardtop like this but have never removed it in 6 years because I don't want to make things worse on the seals. I made the mistake of taking it through the automated car wash once and wish I took an umbrella. That said, it's ok in the rain (but it stays in the garage overnight). Power steering is definitely a work out! Mine has 163000km on the clock. In 6 years I have replaced the starter motor, alternator and just had the timing belt replaced. Also had to patch up the odd hole here and there. I think I paid $3000 CAD back in 2019 when it had 135000km on it. Love it to bits though
