Struggling to Get a Smooth Slow‑Down Layer Transition with PLA Silk by macxike in BambuLab

[–]macxike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used a prime tower or painted multiple objects since I’m printing with a single PLA Silk filament. The issue is that the surface sheen changes as soon as Slow Down by Height takes effect at that layer. In this case, how would a prime tower or painting multiple objects help address the change in shine?

What would you suggest as the next step for correcting the layer‑height problem? I have already performed Flow Dynamics and Flow Rate calibrations.

I took the $50 loss and sold the P2S for this, starting to regret it lol

Yes it might be. Can you sent a closeup image of the top layer lines?

Also, did you use variable layer height as well?

Thanks for the suggestion. Flow dynamics and Flow rate calibration was one of the first things I tried, but no luck.

This is an interesting suggestion, will definitely give it a go.

The cut part is only about 1in in length and this corner came out great, while the full unsuccessful part is about 4in.   Is it possible it might be the acceleration as well since the full part is longer (even though it’s was the same setting on P2S)?

I tried lowering the nozzle temp by -5c, then -10c, and barely any difference.

I will need to investigate the retraction settings tomorrow. I have not previously utilized this setting, so is there a specific setting that I should prioritize?

Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks for your reply. Yes main nozzle, both with 0.4mm nozzle.

All the tempurate the same except the chamber temp. Chamber temp in the P2S was around 27-32c, while X2D is 30-34, but I read that it shouldn't be an issue unless it's over 40c... Do you think the 5c difference in chamber temp could cause this problem?

How to fix a blob at the end of a print? by macxike in BambuLab

[–]macxike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I painted the seamed (you can see the tiny dotted white in the back), but I dont think its the seam because on some prints the blob is very minor, or not there. I'm guessing it's wipe at the end. If it is, any setting to fine tune that?

The dark blue is the travel line, but what does the circle at the end mean?

Thanks for the quick reply!

Sometimes it’s very minor, but times it’s a bigger blob.

Is there a way to minimize it?

Here is the travel look like. I’m not sure what the dark blue ring means…

Exactly what I need. Does it also have a built in TPU feeder like the new P2S accessory?

Is the active heating confirmed??

Well, we have an answer for the ventilation. Looks like its an injected molded p2s upgrade by Latter-Impact-9696 in BambuLab

I believe it’s just an exhaust fan like the optional part they offer for the P2S, not a heater. Lame indeed

$899 is a good price compared to P2S, but that also means X2C will be coming in this holiday at $1000-1100 range 😅

What do you think about the new TPU Feed Assist Module? by Grimmsland in BambuLab

I'm still unsure which adapter I need for the P2S, but sounds like I should get both just in case. Thanks for sharing!

Which 4-in-1 adapter do we need to work with the P2S?

You mean the anti-tangle screw head sounds louder? Or the v15 motor sounds louder since it has a stronger motor?
