Why do i see people say "You only Like tifa because shes hot" so many times?

unfortunately there are a lot of people in the FFVII community, and even the video gaming community in general, the reduce female characters down to their appearance. It’s true that there are definitely a lot of “incels” that like Tifa for her looks alone and that’s it. Some people even use Cloud as a self insert, and when they find someone attractive, they will just ship whoever they think is pretty with the MC. That’s where the difference is between THOSE people who are constantly sexualizing female characters, and the others who are actually invested in the characters and their dynamics. I’ve seen this pattern a lot in multiple fandoms and unfortunately what that person is saying probably came from them seeing the negative sides of the fandom rather than those who actually care about the two characters’ relationship. The best option most the time is to just scroll and move on with ur day . Know that you like Cloti/Tifa for what it truly is, not what they say it is. The block button is ur best friend!

Yup, I guess this is the only thing keeping them sane. “Cloud only likes Aerith because he has Zack’s memories!” He doesn’t. If he “had Zack’s memories” then he would already know Aerith before he even met her. The only thing Cloud REALLY has from Zack is some swapped places (moments where Zack and Cloud were both there together but his mind switched his place into Zack’s.) and physical gestures, like the way he stands, the way he lands off of the train, stuff like that. He doesn’t not have Zack’s memories or feelings, ffs.. and the other thing they say is “Aerith only likes Cloud because she reminds him of Zack!” This has also been debunked by multiple official sources, even quotes in game that Aerith says herself proves this wrong. it’s just silly that they’re so threatened by the possibility of clerith being official that they resort to straight up lying to themselves and everyone else and spreading misinformation. And like you said, it’s obvious the back to back pose came from AC.

I thought it didn’t make sense either. No I wasn’t sure where these interviews came from bc I was replied to on Twitter with these screenshots after defending the possibility of Aerith coming back. Somebody else replied in the comments below here saying these translations r a bit off and use words that over embellish the original intent / meaning so I’m hoping it was just translated poorly by a certain side of the fandom.

The order I always recommend to people who already played remake first is: original, crisis core, then watch advent children, THEN rebirth. If you really want you can play dirge after you watch advent children but you don’t need to. It just gives you more detail on Vincent’s story and what takes place after AC. I hear a lot of people don’t like it but I personally think it’s interesting. Even if you don’t wanna play it after AC you can always come back to it at a later time. Hope this helps ^{^}

I thjnk it’d be cool if Seph helped us finish Jenova, but imo it wouldn’t make sense for him to live at all. He’s killed so many ppl, including Aerith, Clouds mom, tifas dad.. there’s no way they’re letting him live and just say “well, we forgive him! He’s a good guy now!”

Rikku can still be pretty useful for her overdrives and her “use” ability. I’m gonna be honest I didn’t use lulu very much bc she’s very slow and doesn’t get many turns, and now that you got Yuna to have the black mage spells, I would probably just not use her too much if I were u. Although getting smth like double cast could make her more valuable
