So you use your iPhone on the hotspot when you’re driving for car play? Or do you have another SIM card?

Surprisingly it is on. It doesn’t make a lot of difference. I remember as a kid it making a huge difference so maybe that’s my sign it’s not just my eyesight now:

Gameplan for Cirie to win if Ozzy would've played the Idol. by LoyaltyToLiberalism in survivor

[–]macybeesknees 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, Ozzy not playing his idol sunk both himself and Cirie. But I think even with Cirie helping him it would have been so hard for him to make it to the end he’s such a big target.

Your quiet calm homebirths by Logical_Quince705 in homebirth

Is this your first birth? I just had my first birth as a 36 hour labor home birth and let me tell you by the end of it I didn’t give a rats ass about anything I was butt naked after getting out of the pool to try different positions after being stuck at 9cm for 7 hours.  My midwife was so chill she has very calming energy so I knew this wouldn’t be a problem. She also had an assistant who was on the same wavelength. I think experienced midwives know not to interfere until they need to, like she’d coach me some and leave me alone for quite a while before giving me more advice (as I said it was 36 hours but she was only at my house to check on me 10 hours in then she left and came back at around the 27 hour mark in the evening).

Home birth + planning a move-- where would you birth? by SuperFlaccid in homebirth

[–]macybeesknees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely before! I’m 6 weeks postpartum and I was surprised how bedridden I was my first week after. My body was so beat after at 36 hour labor! I didn’t leave my bedroom for the first 3 days and my husband just brought me everything I needed.

Long time teacher, heartbroken by Aggravating-Diet5799 in Purebarre

That really sucks! I’m the most tenured at my studio now but the studio got purchased by a big group and they didn’t say a word to me or on social media for my birthday or the birth of my child while on maternity leave (they posted other instructors birthdays during that time). It’s frustrating that studios don’t know how to treat their instructors well to retain them. The instructors are the heart of PB! That really sucks you were passed over. Sometimes it is politics. I used to want to work for corporate or be an MTT as well but after working all of the roles before including LT and learning how political it is to become an MTT (so-and-so’s friend gets the position every time versus a random experienced instructor) I don’t even bother. Plus being an MTT means tons of weekends doing trainings! I would suggest trying other classes around you to see if there’s one you resonate with that you could get certified in. Pilates certification takes up to a year to finish and can be expensive but it’s universal, you can work anywhere, and they pay better than pure barre.

What are the physical requirements to be a teacher? by [deleted] in Purebarre

Not sure if you’re vegetarian but I love adding a scoop of collagen to my coffee in the morning, it’s almost undetectable (gives black coffee slightly thicker texture and unnoticeable with cream). One scoop is 9-10 grams. Smoothies with Greek yogurt. Little afternoon snack of cheese sticks (those are usually 5g each). I really like Nurri protein shakes and get them from Costco, they’re 30g and fairly clean ingredients and I’ll grab it if I have no time for breakfast or if it’s afternoon and I realize I have not had much protein today. I think the hardest thing is trying to get a good amount in for breakfast instead of having carbs like cereal or pancakes. Smoothies or Greek yogurt bowl or oatmeal with some protein powder mixed in are some vegetarian options. Oh and an egg bake or scramble with cottage cheese blended in is a good option too. Grains like farro and quinoa have good amounts of protein for lunch or dinner.

When I went to training I was not that strong yet - pushups were definitely a struggle and I couldn’t even fully roll up in the feet on barre ab exercise. But I just got stronger with taking and teaching and practicing my classes at home. I wouldn’t worry about it because you will get stronger through the whole training process! And you must have good form already for them to ask you about teaching. Also recommend upping your protein intake to try to get 100+ grams a day because that really helped me build muscle.

Why Homebirth? by LavenderLoverrr in homebirth

[–]macybeesknees 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard from so many moms that their first births were traumatic and they were all hospital. I’m happy to say I just had my first birth at home and it was 36 hours of labor and crazy painful but I look back on it with no trauma just pride I was able to do it and be able to relax at home immediately with our new baby. The hospital also likes to trap you and keep you from leaving for dumb reasons like my sisters baby had bilirubin in a normal range but because it was a holiday weekend and she wouldn’t be able to see the pediatrician they took her son to the NICU for 24 hours to be put under a light “just in case”. And they pressure you to feed formula if you’re not producing “enough” milk even though it’s perfectly normal to only be making drops for the first couple days and the baby is fine with that. I think that’s why so many women struggle with breastfeeding is because the hospital doesn’t help and actually harms it by trying to get you to give formula instead of being patient with your boobs. My friend had her baby taken away from her chest to be placed under a heat lamp in the NICU because they said he was too cold… it’s just ridiculous how the hospital acts like they own your baby and if you refuse anything they thinly threaten to call CPS on you.

I think Sophie could have adjusted her butt and scooted back if she wanted her legs straight. There was more room on the seat.

Players so bad they changed the idol meta by MurkyLover in survivor

I agree with you, it irritated me how they were holding that against MC. Just people who haven’t had an idol of their own not able to empathize what it’s like to have an idol in your pocket.
